Day 1: The monumental heart of Seville

Before starting, see this full guide to things to do in Seville and the most iconic locations.

Real Alcázar of Seville

Start your visit at the Real Alcázar, an architectural treasure combining Mudejar, Gothic and Renaissance styles. Its patios are decorated with Spanish tiles, lush gardens and royal history make it a must.

Seville Cathedral and La Giralda

A short walk away is Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and a World Heritage Site. Be sure to climb La Giralda to enjoy the panoramic views of the city. Inside the building is the tomb of Christopher Columbus and an impressive main altarpiece.

India Files

Opposite the Cathedral, the General Archive of the Indies houses historical documents about the discovery and colonization of the Americas. This is a brief but very interesting visit.

Santa Cruz district

Spend the afternoon exploring the streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the old Jewish quarter in the Andalusian capital. Its squares, courtyards and alleys contain the most authentic essence of Seville.

Tapas in the early evening

End the first day with a traditional tapas dinner in a district tavern. Try the salmorejo, spinach with chicpeas or fried fish.

Day 2: Parks, squares and Seville art

Plaza de España

Start the day in the Plaza de España, symbol of the Ibero-American Exhibition in 1929. Its ceramic benches, canals and bridges make it one of the most beautiful sights in the city.

María Luisa Park

Next, stroll through the María Luisa Park, a monumental garden full of fountains, shaded avenues and historic buildings. Ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Torre del Oro and walk along the Guadalquivir

From the park, keep walking to the Torre del Oro on the banks of the Guadalquivir river. You can take a walk along the seafront promenade or even get on a boat to see Seville from the water.

Seville Museum of Fine Arts

In the afternoon, spend some time visiting the Museum of Fine Arts, the second most important art gallery in Spain. It houses works by Murillo, Zurbarán and Valdés Leal, among other great masters.

Dinner in El Arenal

End the day in the El Arenal district full of traditional bars and taverns. Perfect for tapas alongside the Guadalquivir river.

Day 3: Charming neighborhoods and local experiences

Triana district

Cross the Isabel II Bridge, also known as Triana Bridge, and discover the Triana district, the cradle of potters and flamenco artists. Stroll along Betis Street, visit pottery workshops and experience the authentic spirit of Seville. To learn more about this, I recommend you read our guide on what to do in Triana.

Metropol Parasol (Las Setas)

On your return to the city centre, you can climb up to the Metropol Parasol viewpoint, known as Las Setas de Seville. Its panoramic walkway allows guests to see the city from a different perspective.

Alameda de Hércules

Continue on to the Alameda de Hércules, a bohemian space full of life, terraces and urban art. Ideal for a bite to eat and to enjoy the local atmosphere.

Palace of the Countess of Lebrija

The palace is a private museum with impressive Roman mosaics from Italica, sculpture, ceramics and works of art. A hidden treasure in the historic heart of the hotel.

Dinner with Flamingo

To put the icing on the cake in your farewell to Seville, nothing better than a dinner with a flamenco show. You will find great quality tablaos both in the center and in the Triana district.
