“Wir haben das Hotel Melia Phuket Mai Khao in erster Line wegen der Lage gebucht. Es liegt am langen und breiten Strand von Mai Khao, ungefähr 25 Minuten mit dem Taxi vom Flughafen entfernt. Das Resort hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Unser Zimmer war sehr luxuriös und perfekt. Die nach aussen offene Dusche hat uns sehr gefallen. Auf der Terrasse mit der Badewanne fehlt ein Sonnenschutz. Die in Richtung Strand gelegene Pool-Anlage ist cool. Nicht so cool ist der schlauchartige Grundriss. Der Strand scheint irgendwie zu weit weg zu sein. In der Nähe hat es Restaurants in Strandnähe.”

“We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of our holiday in Thailand. It’s a truly beautiful hotel. The room was lovely, with an outdoor shower and a small pool that was perfect for us and our son. There was no crowding by the pools or in the restaurants. Calm, beautiful, and atmospheric. We highly recommend it and would love to come back.”

“Caution: Pool in the Pool Villa is only 90 cm deep Our stay at Meliá Phuket was overall pleasant, but with some clear drawbacks. Positive: The resort is very well maintained, and the beach is beautiful and pleasantly quiet. The service was generally friendly and helpful – from reception to room dining service, although it could be a bit faster. The villa itself is modern, stylishly designed, and the bed is very comfortable. Negative: The biggest disappointment was the pool in the pool villa: with a depth of only 90 cm, it does not meet expectations for a high-quality pool villa. The breakfast is okay, but nothing special – guests who value high quality might be disappointed. A major issue was the large number of mosquitoes throughout the resort. Even though sprays and coils were provided, we still got many bites. In addition to mosquitoes, we also encountered cockroaches. Therefore, make sure to always keep all doors properly closed – this way we avoided having them in the bedroom, but they were present outside and in the bathroom. The door between the bathroom and the outside was not sealed properly, allowing many mosquitoes to enter. Also, the prices for pool pavilions (2000 Baht plus 3000 Baht minimum consumption) are extremely high for Thai standards. Conclusion: A beautiful resort with great service and a quiet location, but with clear weaknesses regarding the pool, mosquito issue, and overall value for money.”

“Am tollsten fand ich das extrem bequeme und riesen grosse Bett - ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so gut in einem Hotel geschlafen. Das Zimmer war sehr stilvoll und einladend eingerichtet. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Strand in Fussnähe ist ruhig und man sieht wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge. Abzug gibts dafür, dass der private Pool nur 90cm tief ist. So was habe ich noch nie erlebt wenn man ein Zimmer mit privatem Pool / Plunge Becken bucht. Es steht leider auch nicht in der Zimmerbeschreibung. Zu dem Zimmerpreis finde ich das nicht angemessen. Auch nicht passend zu einem 5 Sterne Hotel ist, dass man für die Cabanas am Pool 2500 BHT zahlen und mind. für 3000 BHT konsumieren muss.”

“Love this hotel, if you are looking for a quiet location this is the right hotel. Food was amazing. But the best thing of staying here is staff. We really felt so welcomed from day one, by the end we were sad to say goodbye to them. We will definitely go back.”

“Excellent vegan breakfast! It’s a separate vegan menu, for order to the table, included within the buffet, which also has vegan options which are clearly marked.”

“Well appointed rooms, beautiful surroundings and very attentive staff. The location is quite remote, so best for secluded resort stay rather than daily exploring and supplies.”

“К сожалению, мы не смогли насладиться отдыхом на вилле с бассейном , поскольку комары нападали стаей в тот же момент , когда нога ступала за пределы комнаты. Душ тоже на улице , где море комаров. Мы были скучаем все с ног до головы , у других постояльцев также была масса укусов на теле. Я больше 10 раз была в Тайланде, из которых половину провела на Пхукете. Но никогда меня так не кусали. В какой-то момент просто хотелось рыдать от постоянного зуда на коже. Первые дни завтрак очень нравился. Потом , убрали станцию где готовили омлеты и вся еда была не свежая. Ужин буфет очень достойный. Ну и также из номера пропали вещи. Не думаю, что это персонал. Уверена , это кто-то мимо проходил , когда во время уборки клинер не закрыл дверь. Менеджмент Отеля пытался помочь в поиске вещей тем , что пытался убедить меня что я оставила очки за пределами отеля.”

“We had the best family holiday by far! Thank you to the Fitness team, and the girls Tip & Bow at Kidsdom, for arranging thoughtful activities and keeping our daughter entertained. We booked a fire camp evening and our 3 year old loved it! She is obsessed with camping now. My husband booked a 1 hour Muay Thai boxing session with the talented Muay Thai trainer and he was super grateful and enjoyed his one to one time with him. Hotel grounds are beautiful and all the staff are super attentive. We will be back soon.”

“Our stay here over the past 7 days has been wonderful, despite the little hiccup, which was managed extremely well by the Duty Margaret Nusree. We will definitely be back next year. The staff and facilities are amazing, in particular Aey at Sala and Gaia restaurants is so welcoming and attentive and genuinely wonderful to all her staff. Ken the barman / mixologist is an absolute standout, obviously has a very welcoming and kind heart, a Thai through and through. Together with all the lovely ladies at YHI Spa where we enjoyed daily treatments. A truly wonderful and memorable place to stay. My only suggestions would be; - more designated adult only pool areas - consider your pricing for additional activities - please compare to Sala which is considerably cheaper for similar activities such as personal Mai Thai etc. I have no doubt you will get many more people paying for these services if your prices were adjusted - the TV channels weren’t broad enough, the addition of some movie channels such as HBO etc would be great - free shuttle services to places nearby such as Turtle Village We can’t wait to come back and hopefully see some of these suggestions put in place.”

“Great pools, beautiful and quiet location with a nice beach. Very kid friendly staff! (Tip from kids club and Aom from Service are amazing!!) Only issue is that the villa with pool has a lot of mosquitos”

“Where do I start? We're in hospitality business ourselves and always with high expectations and at Melia they were all met! From the room and the fantastic housekeeping team (thank you so much for your daily service), to Aye and her team giving an excellent service in the restaurant (and what a breakfast, we absolutely loved it)!! The reception was very attentive and personal with big smiles. Thank you Keem for taking our things to and from our room, in the heat. And let's not forget the spa, fantastic massage by See, which I'll never forget! The location - beautiful and laid back, like a private oasis. We loved the beach and the area, but found it to be a little far from Phuket for daily visits.”

“We are now staying in the hotel (villa with pool). After 10 min in the villa pool all the family was totally bitten by mosquitoes (huge number - ~10 bites, ~15 kills outside and that’s only for 10 mins) Now we have to hide inside the villa and we cannot use the facilities of our villa (that started since we checked in) Hotel knows about that problem - and seems they did nothing with this problem before check-in”

“מלון מפואר, שקט ומפנק, ממש חוויה של הלוטוס הלבן!! המקלחת החיצונית וואו, חדרים מרווחים, בריכות כיפיות ויפות, בר ופיצה טעימה שאפשר להזמין ולאכול במים. לשיפור: יתושים, לא בכל שעה אבל מדי פעם, גם בחדר. בלילה האחרון כל האור בחדר נדלק כמה פעמים, התקשרנו ללובי, הזמינו מהנדס שקדח ותיקן. לא חשבו לפצות אותנו על הלילה הזה באיזושהי צורה. הכל יקר, כל תוספת, הכביסה פי שש מכל מלון אחר שהיינו וכו', אין תחושת נדיבות אלא רצון להרוויח עוד וזה אחרי ששילמנו הרבה”

“Had a great stay at Melia Phuket, the rooms with private pool are gorgeous as well as the property surroundings. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, always ready to help. One thing that perhaps could be improved is the breakfast, the selection is definitely not the best and neither what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The fact that they charge for a mimosa for breakfast or champagne does not go in line with 5 star hotel services provided. Also in the room there is a coffee machine however you get one regular coffee capsule and one decaf for 2 people . Is not a big deal but those are small aspects that can be improved to elevate guests experience.”
