“This hotel is very well kept, the staff is very helpful and friendly and the location is great. We were able to walk to many restaurants and shops, and were able to take the metro down to the museums. The breakfast buffet was by far the best we have had in our years of travel, and mimosas included, nice touch!”

“I loved my stay here. From start to finish I was impressed by the kindness and quality of service from each staff person. The moment my cab came in, an attendant approached to help me with my bag and brought it up to my room for me. The front desk was super kind and helpful with giving me an overview of the accommodations and answering my questions about the area. Manu was especially a ray of sunshine and made me even more excited for my time in Madrid. The location was perfect--I was able to walk to most places and they have a cab stand just outside the hotel and are a two minute walk from the metro. I didn't use the spa because 40 minutes felt insufficient and reserving a time slot felt like a hassle but there were so many other things I wanted to do, I didn't feel like I missed out by not using it.”

“Staying now in Meliá Madrid Princessa, The hotel is very central with really good vibes and the food is delicious !!. Our check in was smooth and easy with Manu , Rooms are nice but toilets are outdated and lack all kinds of toiletries ( Soap, Shower cap ,cotton etc..)until I lost the room key and had to deal with another front desk staff (lady) who is really unfriendly ,unhelpful and really unprofessional and her answers were like a robot with no common sense . She asked for my ID and my Husband ‘s ID and even though I showed her our IDs she refused to give me a new key till she sees him in person . This is really frustrating!! For sure I’ll reconsider staying here the next visit.”

“Great room, very comfortable bed, loved the decor and excellent location. However, had issues with the wi-fi, the connection is abysmal, I called 3 times for assistance only once they sent someone (the second time when I went personally to reception), after that, the connection speed was even worse, from 4Mbs to less than 2Mbps (yes, you read right, see screenshots). Couldn’t even browse social media without the connection breaking let alone watch anything on Netflix. The third time I called the operator was rude, after explaining the situation and mentioning that I needed to do some online remote work and would like some help, didn’t even acknowledge the concern or apologised for not sending someone or not fixing the issue, just bluntly say “I’ll send someone”. No-one turned up that night since I called at 8pm. Gave up and use my mobile data which for comparison had 16Mbps. Hope the wifi is fixed or upgraded because never had such bad service in any other hotel. I was ready to give 2 stars after this incident and a rude male member in the restaurant (I arrived for breakfast, I said “good morning” he replied without looking up from the list, never made eye contact and stood silent until I gave my room number) but giving 3 stars after checking out 4 days later and having amazing customer service from other staff.”

“Ya hemos estado en este hotel varias veces y cada vez es mejor, el trato cercano y amable del personal nos hacen sentir mejor que en casa , esta muy bien ubicado en el centro de Madrid a pocos minutos andando de gran Vía , sol , plaza mayor y palacio real , , algo más hacia cibeles y museo del prado ,el desayuno tanto en el salón como en el level son muy buenos y en general es un hotel de 10”

“The hotel was in a great location, not far from a hop on hop off bus stop, restaurants, stops, attractions, etc. The rooms were clean and up to date. The staff were very friendly no matter the time. The downside is because it’s on a busy street and sometimes late at night you can hear Maddie’s night life very clearly.”

“Stayed one night following a flight cancellation and the hotel was arranged by the airline very very late at night. The staff was very pleasant and helpful although I wish the check-in had been available to be done online in order to avoid having to wait for all the passengers of one flight being booked in at resception at midnight. My only comment was that there wereinstructions on how to operate the shower in the bathroom and I was not able to make it work which seems to be a common problem in many hotel bathrooms around the world, that you need instructions to operate the shower tab mixer :( I also wish that hotel doors did not make so much noise when being closed... There must be some kind of method or system out there to make sure they're not slamming at five o'clock in the morning because most of the people using the hotel doesn't seem to have used a door in the Life.”
