“Del 11 al 19 de enero mi esposa y yo hemos estado de nuevo después de un año en el Hotel Sol Lanzarote. Una vez más y ya son once visitas, el hotel sigue siendo un lugar acogedor y el personal mantiene como siempre una atención muy atenta y con disposición permanente ante cualquier pedido que uno haga y de una cordialidad a remarcar que es de agradecer. Gracias como siempre y nuestros cordiales saludos a Abel, Carmen, Iago, Alberto, Linda, Maria, Said ,Tibi y al resto de sus compañeros. Nos volveremos a ver este mismo año.”

“Las copas y vasos del comedor los encontré sucios o mal lavados varias veces, además algunas personas de recepción no eran muy amables y no nos dieron la información completa al momento de realizar el check in, de hecho tras más de 5 días de alojamiento nos pusieron un aviso de grúa en el coche porque debíamos haber puesto un papel que proporcionaban en recepción, que nos nos dieron el primer día y también nos dijeron que debimos haber rellenado una ficha que tampoco mencionaron en el check in, adicionalmente las piscinas son pequeñas y el agua está sucia, en las habitaciones ademas un par de dias encontramos hormigas pequeñitas en la mesa del televisor. Como punto positivo cabe destacar que las habitaciones con vista al mar son espaciosas y cómodas y tienen una vista bonita con una buena terraza”

“Location is beautiful, situated next to the beach, the sea is calm with plenty of bed chairs to choose from. Hotal staff are very friendly and helpful The Rooms are spacious but dated but cleaned daily to a high standard. The food is cooked well and plenty of fish on the menu, only downside if you eat in daily it becomes limited for choice. Daily excursions is a must as there is plenty to do nearby, cabs booked by reception and arrive within 5 minutes. If you like sitting by the pool be prepared for sunbed wars, morning entertainment from your room is a great watch. In the afternoon there was always a bed with music playing all day. I would visit again as its a beautiful island but not the resort, not for a couple of years at least.”

“Hôtel très bien placé pour explorer les différents sites de Lanzarote. Proche de l’aéroport, les avions passent près de la plage à l’atterrissage mais ce n’est pas gênant. Le all inclusive est correct et varié, même si quelques fois la quantité prime sur la qualité. Personnel serviable et impliqué”

“The location was perfect. The hotel was clean and tidy and comfortable. Facilities excellent. Pool area was well furnished a large enough. Service was very good. Staff friendly and professional with good humour. The entertainment team were just amazing ( ran on Duracell batteries. They had so much energy).”

“This hotel has some very good points but also some bad ones that let it down, this is not a 4start hotel in any way maybe a 3.5 at most, but the staff are 5star and hold this place together. The good bits I would like to thank Loic the manager who works so hard, he goes out of his way to help in anyway he can. The hotel is in a fantastic location, on the beach away from all the noise. 5 min walk ever side are lovely restaurants that offer a fantastic vide to the area. The pools are brilliant and clean, I’ve seen comments about them being to cold but I think that’s welcomed in the heat. The staff all round are fantastic and all play there part, this is possibly down to the leadership of the manager but They were brilliant. The bad bits We booked a suit and for the extra we paid it was not worth it, as you can tell by my pictures below that bad workmanship, decorating and poor maintenance prevented this from being acceptable. I did, however, report this to the manager who fixed most of this straightaway. I don’t think I have ever seen some many cockroaches on the hotel grounds, To be clear, there was never any in the rooms But around the pool and dining area. I believe this is down to tidy up not happening till the following morning with glasses and plates left out all night from the previous entertainment, I’m sure this is something that can be done the night before to prevent pests coming into the grounds. Glasses On the tables, Rubbish under the sunbeds, Napkins flowing about in the wind, This is all the responsibility for the cleaning team to ensure is done properly. When getting dinner so many times I seen unclean plates stacked with the clean plates, Obviously these are mass Washed but still need to be checked before putting out for use. The food was ok but after few days you want a change, it’s just seems the same things every day and the quality is substandard. We did go out a few nights but when paying for all inclusive you feel you want your moneys worth. There isn’t a real issue with the sunbed beds to be honest though there was one incident during our stay with 2 other family’s, If there is enough sunbeds for everybody then just allocate a room to a numbered sunbed to prevent issues. This hotel has some real potential but until it meets that goal I won’t be returning, a lot of work needs doing to it and this will take a few years to do. Good luck to all staff at Sol”

“Estuvimos 6 días en este hotel y las verdad es que estuvo todo muy bien. A destacar el servicio excelente proporcionado parte de todos los trabajadores....servicio de limpieza, restauración, recepción, bar, etc... La piscina para los más peques se vacía y limpia cada día. Las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas, si bien es cierto que los lavabos no son muy modernos y necesitarían una modernización. El servicio todo incluido dura hasta las 23.30h. En cuanto a la ubicación lo valoro con 4* por que esta situado en la urbanización Matagorda y está alejado de Puerto del Carmen (unos 45 minutos andando). Esto.en parte es bueno por que ofrece mucha más tranquilidad pero si quieres ir al centro (ya sea por ocio, compras, etc...) has de ir en coche o pegarte una buena caminata de ida y vuelta. Si alquilas un coche has de comunicarlo en recepción para que pongas un papel en el salpicadero cuando está aparcado en el parking del hotel. Hay animación nocturna diaria tanto.para adultos como para niños, pero no puedo opinar sobre ellas por que solo las disfrutamos brevemente algunas noches. Una cosa que no me gustó (y creo que debo decir) es un sistema que tienen que consiste en que te dan una ficha para cambiar por un vaso de plástico para poder beber de los surtidores de refrescos o cerveza. Creo que esto sí es bastante cutre y se tendría que sustituir por otro mejor....es mi única queja. Por último quiero opinar sobre algunas reseñas negativas que leí antes de irme de viaje referente a la limpieza en general y el servicio de restauración que no comparto en absoluto. El trabajo de los trabajadores es constante para atender al gran volumen de gente que atienden para que todo esté lo mejor posible a la mayor brevedad posible tanto en el comedor como en el servicio de limpieza.....otra cosa es que los huespedes (generalmente no Españoles) se crean con derecho a todo y su comportamiento no sea el adecuado y vayan dejando copas, vasos, platos y comida por cualquier rincon donde se les antoje. Esto nomes culpa del hotel ni de sus trabajadores, es falta de civismo y educación. REPETIRIA SIN DUDA EN ESTE MISMO HOTEL.”

“Hotel muy bien situado justo al lado de la playa. La recepción del hotel muy atentos a nuestra llegada y buena información. La habitación muy amplia y con terraza. Especial atención por la excelente comida y postres con gran variedad. Las marcas de las bebidas muy excasas pero daban la opción de comprar botellas de marcas premium. Faltaba algo de atención por parte de los camareros porque podía haber mas personal pero eran todos muy amables. Nos gustó mucho el detalle de los vasos que se canjeban por una ficha y daba buena impresión en la zona de la piscina de no estar todos los vasos tirados por los suelos. El gimnasio muy completo, con sus toallas y agua. Lo peor fue que en algunas zonas del hotel por la noche se veían cucarachas, espero que lo puedan solucionar. En general para repetir sin duda.”

“We stayed at the Sol Matagorda in March 2020 we arrived on the 9th - but on the 14th of March the whole island went into lockdown due to Covid, prior to lockdown we couldn’t fault the hotel or staff , everything was perfect. The food the drinks was great. Unfortunately for the last few days it was pretty bad for everyone. We had to stay in our rooms and collect picnic food 3 times a day . We were lucky we had a suite and a large balcony . Covid spoilt the whole experience. But we are going back to The Sol on the 18th of September and are hoping we get to enjoy the whole holiday this time - we can’t wait. See you all soon We have booked a deluxe suite with sea view . “Hotel ma świetną lokalizację, przy samej plaży, kilka km od lotniska. Jest czysto. Forma all, jedzenie bardzo średnie nawet jak na Hiszpanię, coctaile z automatu😳 dramat. Pokoje wymagają remontu, są zużyte, ale jakość sprzątania jest bardzo dobra. Na plus nie można rezerwować leżaków, więc po śniadaniu można znaleźć miejsce przy basenie. W pobliżu są sklepy i inne bary.”

“Un hotel excelente para olvidarse de la rutina”

“Mon avis est assez mitigé sur cet hôtel. Tout d'abord l'emplacement depuis l’aéroport jusqu’à l’hôtel nous avons mis 10 minutes en bus, très pratique. -l’hôtel et le matériel ; le matériel dans la chambre et au sein même de l’hôtel est marqué par le temps, des transat cassés, le sèche cheveux qui montre des signes d'usure +++. L'hôtel à 2 petits ascenseurs pour desservir tout l'hôtel. Nous avions une chambre côté parking mais avec une vue sur un petit jardin paysager depuis notre terrasse. Présence de moisissures dans la salle de bain, tràces de marqueur noir sur la cuvette des toilettes, traces de tartes sur la robinetterie et autour de la vasque. Le papier toilettes n'est pas du moltonelle. Les serviettes de toilettes sentait la côtelette d'agneau. L'humidité est permanente dans la chambre les vêtements étaient souvent humides. Pour ma part le bar à salade a fait mon bonheur par contre les viandes et poissons sont cuit comme de la semelles seul le saumon a su resté fondant, il manque de diversité, on est resté 7 jours et pendant le sejour les menus n'étaient pas très diversifiés, la vaiselle etait souvent dégoûtante (trâces de rouge a lèvres sur les fourchettes et cuillères, assiettes mal nettoyées, verre dégoûtant) il n'etait pas rare de se salire avec des dos d'assiettes pleines de chocolats, Je vous conseille de venir à l’ouverture car moins de monde. Présence de fruits gâtés +++ dans les saladiers quasiment à chaque repas. Pr3esence d'un mini buffet ouvert de 10h30 à 18h30 si vous avez un petit creux. Les cocktails n'étaient pas bons car pas à base de vrais fruits, trop sucré avec un goût de médicament, vraiment pas agréable. Un petit supermarché est à côté de l’hôtel, si besoin. L'hôtel est bien situé mais pas tranquille du tout, amateur de quiétude et de propreté je ne vous conseille pas de venir ici. Il n'a pas était rare de croiser des grosses blates au sein de l'hôtel autour de la piscine le soir et dans le couloir menant à notre chambre. les soirées étaient rythmée par des spectacles à thème plus ou moins élaboré que j'ai apprécié pour ma part. L’hôtel offre un accès direct à la plage, qui est vaste et propre. Un chemin est possible tout le long de la plage qui permet de se promener. Votre carte de chambre d'hôtel vous permettras d'entrer et sortir. les transats sont à 10.50€ avec le parasol pour 2 sur la plage, vous avez aussi le choix de vous mettre sur le sable directement. Il fait très frais les soirs et tôt le matin prévoir des pantalons et vêtements chauds car le vents y est permanent. Info pratique si vous voulez éviter les amandes respecté bien la limitation de vitesse ou si vous vous garer respecter le sens de circulation. Les amandes sont à payer en liquides directement à la banque indiquée au dos de votre contravention. Les excursions, documentez vous sur ce qu'ils vous plaît, pas mal d'activités et de site ouvert au public sont gratuites. Je vous invite à louer votre véhicule bien avant votre venue car malheureusement les places sont chères. Comptez environ 200€ pour 4 jours de location d'un suv avec assurance comprises. Pour les souvenirs vous trouverez des boutiques sur le port de playa del carmen. Pour de vrai bijoux en pierre de lave, olivier ou autre je vous recommande le magasin juste en dessous de zara à Porto del Carmen. Les pierres y sont authentiques. Vous serez certainement tenté d'acheter de la contrefaçon, sac, bijoux, assessoires. Sachez que la douane veille au grains et effectue des contrôles aléatoire permanent. Un couple qui avait acheté 4 articles s'est vu payer le prix du véritable article plus une amande forfaitaire payable de suite de quoi gâcher les vacances. Le personnel à la réception est vraiment sympathique notamment Mathieu vraiment soucieux de nous apporter son aide et conseils.”

“Amazing place. After arrival to Lanzarote we've had to switch to Sol from Barceló Lanzarote Royal Level as they don't have a proper beach. Sol has an amazing sandy beach right in front of the hotel itself (although, the beach isn't hotel's property). Food - amazing! Very impressive choice. We were absolutely happy about the food there! The room was nice. It was in the main building, so the late evening shows and music were heard in the room pretty loudly (we have little children, so couldn't stay till the end of the disco). Haven't attended kid's club as it works from 4 and for children 5+. And haven't been to the swimming pool as we came there for the beach and ocean. Haven't used the bars as well. The children playgrounds are not covered, so can be attended only early morning or late evening which is not perfect. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for the family vacay.”
