“Overall Meliá Yangon is a great hotel in terms of location, service, and amenities. It's also a great value compared to what you would pay for similar hotels in other countries. Breakfast: Excellent quality and diffetent choices all 3 mornings there. There were plenty of options for both Asian and Western tastes. Location: Conveniently located within walking distance or a short taxi ride to many restaurants and coffeeshops. Myanmar Plaza mall is right next door and Central Boulevard is within walking distance. Rooms: Very nice, very clean, though perhaps lacking the 'wow' factor that you might expect from a 5 star hotel. Still very nice, clean, and comfortable. Amenities: There is a lovely swimming pool and well-equipped gym with machines, cables, free weights, and cardio equipment.”

“i stayed 2 days at melia yangon hotel and both days were great. the room has decent amount of space and overlooking the lake so it was nice except there was some stains on the tiles. also there were missing a few vanity kits missing in the bathroom but they sent it right away when i asked for it. i really like their breakfast buffet. it has so many varieties compared to other 5 stars hotel and most of the food tasted good. i would recommend going early tho cuz i went there late one of the days and the quality has dropped since its been sitting for awhile. one of the staff member remembered my double shot latte and got it for me on the second day that i was there. thank you for remembering me and should have asked her name. Also another staff named Htoo checked in on me about my experience at their hotel as well. they could definitely use an upgrade on the gym but it works as of now.. the gym was very spacious compared to other 5 stars hotel as well. it even had table tennis room. overall it was a great experience.. i would recommend joining their rewards program which gives you 2000 pts to use towards your booking fee which is what i did instead of booking through third party booking sites.”
