“Fui de vacaciones y me tocó un clima precioso. Viajé con mi familia y tenía miedo de que nos aburramos pero el hotel tiene muchísimas actividades. “My daughter and I visited for our 18th and 45th birthdays, respectively.This resort far exceeded our expectations! I would like to give a special shout out to Alfonso in the Level club, he was our concierge all trip and went above and beyond to make it a special time. It's completely worth spending a little bit extra to have the special attention from Alfonso and his crew! I would also like to mention Ian and Diego, who take care of the level club pool and beach chairs. They work very hard in the hot Mexican sun and always seem so happy to help. Very grateful for both of them. A few more shout outs to Miguel and Sandra in the buffet. They took very good care of us. And Erik , the bartender at the buffet, always had a smile for me, despite being the busiest person in the resort! Our unnamed housekeeper who did a fantastic job, the room was so nice, and finally Yazmin and Angelica in the spa for the most amazing massages my daughter and I have ever had! We were originally staying at a resort just down the street and it wasn't meeting my expectations so we literally walked five minutes with our luggage down to Meliã had the perfect birthday trip!”

“Alfonso, our conceiger, was excellent. He make restaurant reservations for us, spa reservations right away when were told we needed to make them a day in advance. He was also very pleasant and a just a great person. Ian, the pool and beach attendant, was excellent very pleasant and helpful.”

“The only thing better than the long sand beach with the great view is the staff. We were a group of 6 and 2 people had different dietary restrictions and the servers and staff went above and beyond to help them with their meals. ALL of the staff from waiters , bartenders, cleaning crew, front desk and front door staff made it feel like we were special guests. Axil from the entertainment staff is great at getting people engaged in the activities. It would have been nice to have outside evening entertainment so we could stay out in the nice weather. Overall a great spot to vacation and it’s only a $10 taxi ride or a 1 hour walk to the shops downtown. I would recommend Melia Cozumel to anyone that likes a quieter resort with a nice sand beach and a personal atmosphere.”

“This was our first trip here to Melina Cozumel. The hotel and staff are wonderful. Food on Bufett is not so good. Everything stews, and she meats over and over. If you're in the level like we are, you at least get choices to eat other places. Fish house is great, and the Taco house is great. The beach was dirty almost our first week here with seaweed. They have finally cleaned 90 percent up here on our second week. As an over all grade would give hotel B+ food C and outdoors C. They really don't have much for adults for entertainment during the day.”

“This resort was everything we could have wanted, best value for experience. Our first time at an all inclusive and we were not disappointed. The highlights were the amazing staff, relaxation, and convenience. The size was really nice and it was easy to relax, it was peaceful, safe and beautiful here. Highly recommend “The Level” rooms, the amenities it provided were well worth the upgrade. Our “Level” concierge Gerardo was wonderful and helped us with many aspects that just made our stay at ease. A few things to note that might be helpful to others: Food: Quality of food was great and very convenient and offerings were pretty diverse for such a small place. The buffet was a little hit or miss but we never left hungry. The staff so attentive to getting your drinks and clearing plates. “Fish House” and “Mole” were the dinner time options that required reservations which we made at check in. We enjoyed both. The food was not of “foodie” quality if you’re very particular about your cuisine but still tasty and presentable. The drinks were great if you stuck to the basic tropical go-tos, nothing fancy but hit the spot. You could get some top shelf options with “the level” experience if you asked. Rooms: The room was very damp the first night we arrived as it was pouring rain outside and the humidity was intense. I don’t think there was much they could have done, otherwise a/c worked great and the rooms were generally very clean. The sheets and room were much less damp and musky as the weather improved. The level room with access to the beach was a nice touch with chairs and hammocks right outside our room, but the bath on the porch was fairly shallow and took forever to fill, but the water stayed warm and it was clean. Location/Beach: Being the more Northern part of the Island the wind was very intense as it mostly blows from the North, this made it slightly less swim able with a lot more seaweed washing up. This didn’t bother us but the Southern beaches are much more pristine and protected. A simple day trip to a beach club like Paradise Cove could appease a family wanting a beach day. The staff worked hard to keep the beach walkable and clear the seaweed often. It was about a 10min taxi ride into the town, 25-35 further south. Scuba Diving: We scuba certified on our trip with “Scuba Life” and had a great experience. The taxi ride was 25min each way, and about $18-22 USD each way. The taxis were always readily available at the front of Melia. We enjoyed the rest of our afternoon at the resort. Activities: We didn’t participate in many of the activities, but they did offer things like Movie nights, jazz bands, piñata for the kids, ping pong, mini golf, and more. The list wasn’t extensive but provided things to do it you needed a change from reading a book by the pool. Pools: There are 2 pools, one adult and one for families. We spent most of our time at the family pool as it was more protected from the wind and loved the iguanas and chill atmosphere. The pool was refreshing and with a level upgrade you have access to the Bali beds which were very comfortable and provided shade. A small water slide for kids 6 years and younger. There is not warmer pool or hot tub to warm up in. Overall we would return to this resort. It was well laid out and very enjoyable for its price and all the staff were very very accommodating, kind, attentive and welcoming. The general clientele was laid back and chill.”

“Spent a week there. Room needed remodeled but was pretty clean, ocean view was amazing! . Breakfast was awesome . Chef who makes the omelettes was amazing! Ian and Diego, bartenders down on the beach were amazing and so fun to be around!! Loved them, always had a smile and drinks in hand when we got there!! Ian made the trip so fun, made sure we had a hut or chairs, if we wanted and kept the drinks full! Pool was very cold, but the beach was amazing and the waters incredibly beautiful!”

“Excelente lugar para descansar y apapacharte. A escasos 10-15 min del aeropuerto, nos recibió un staff super cálido y atento a nuestras dudas/peticiones. Las instalaciones están super cómodas, se ve el esfuerzo de mantenimiento. Decidimos hacer upgrade cuando hicimos el check in y valió cada peso: cama King size muy cómoda, jacuzzi en el balcón con vista al mar, mini cocina con utensilios, enchufes a los dos lados de la cama!! La comida del buffet y sus restaurantes temáticos (Mole & Tacos, Fish House, Mediterrâneo) es espectacular, muy superior a lo que esperas en un all inclusive. Mención honorífica a miembros del staff qué nos hicieron sentir mejor que en casa: Alfonso (concierge), Rosa y Ernesto del Mediterráneo. Jorge, Justo y el chef Willy en Mole & Tacos. Excellent service, excellent restaurants and food, an actual concierge that cares about your stay and doesn’t try to push for something else, everything from the hospitality to the buffet to the a la carte restaurants have been awesome! Special shout out to Jorge and Willy (from the Taco restaurant) Rosa and Ernesto (from the Mediterranean restaurant), Angelica (Spa) and Alfonso (Concierge) who have made the stay truly special, would 100% look to do more vacations in Meliá-hotels.”
