“Sol Guadalupe ist ein gutes, ruhig gelegenes Hotel, das den Spagat zwischen Party und Erholung gut schafft. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig, die Betten bequem und das Frühstücksbuffet wirklich stark. Beim Kaffee und vor allem beim Abendessen ist allerdings noch deutlich Luft nach oben. Auch einige der bereits von anderen Gästen genannten Mängel bleiben bestehen. Was den Aufenthalt für mich besonders macht, ist Carmen aus dem Frühstücksservice. Trotz des großen Andrangs begegnet sie den Gästen mit echter Herzlichkeit, Aufmerksamkeit und Menschlichkeit. Genau solche Menschen geben einem Hotel Charakter. Carmen ist für mich deshalb ganz klar das Juwel des Hauses.”Voir l’hôtel

“We have just spent a week here at Sol Barbados and overall it’s been a lovely …. Rooms are cleaned daily .. staff are very friendly and helpful . Location is perfect and lots to do down strip and restraints are lovely . Entertainment team work really hard and keep adults and children busy during day by the pool with activities & music . The only improvement I would say is the snack bar downstairs isn’t great and I would give the food in general 5/10 wasn’t great some nights. And lastly the wait times for the lifts especially if you have a pushchair is horrendous. But overall it’s a great hotel ☀️”Voir l’hôtel

“This is my 7th time staying at the Melia South Beach. Usually with friends in June, this time with children. This is a perfect location in a quieter corner of Magaluf but a two minute walk to some decent restaurants and bars. We had a level junior suite on the 10th floor and the views are amazing. I love the fact that the hotel is right on the beach. Has a large adult only pool, which has a nice vibe with music from next door Nikki Beach. This was great for my 17 year old granddaughter. Could do with some more umbrellas as there aren't enough for the number of sunbeds. The staff do a good job of managing the towel on sunbed brigade. If you opt for the level ( well worth it in my opinion) you also have access to an area next to the sea with sunbeds which is peaceful and set away from the busy beach. A note of caution though, while I was there another guest left his phone in sight and this was stolen. In the family pool, there are various activities organised and these went down really well with the kids. The activity coordinators did a great job. The hotel was busier than when i previously stayed and the impact on service noticeable particularly in the restaurant. Hard to get attention from staff who seemed more intent on clearing tables than acknowledging us. Other guests advised, you simply need to grab the teams attention or you wouldn't get served. I didn't bother again because of this. There was only 1 lift servicing the hotel, the other was broken and not serviced in the time that i stayed. This meant sometimes quite a wait for the lift in peak times. You are given wrist bands to wear for the duration which open your room door. Twice, i waited for the lift and then the chip in the band wasn't working and so I had to return to reception to have it refreshed which was annoying. This was a common complaint with the guests. Unfortunately, my son cut his foot on broken glass in the restaurant area. Appreciate this would have been avoided had he been wearing shoes. However had the broken glass been cleared quickly, this wouldn't have happened. The team were very attentive to cleaning him up. It was a minor injury however he was advised not to use the pool. We only had 3 full days at the hotel and so this did impact our last day. We went to the sea however this stung and he didn't want to persevere. He thought he'd be better in the pool but spotted by the lifeguard, who shook his head at him...so he went to the room. The main issue i have on this point as this is just a personal experience, is that the rest of the glass was not cleared up quickly. I had to flag this with the team. Even after the glass cleared, blood left on the floor. The incident should have been taken more seriously but everyone was too busy. So a few moans as the hotel asked for feedback. I am not usually a complainer, there is so much to like about the hotel and I'm sure that i will go again.”Voir l’hôtel
