“We recently spent a wonderful holiday at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora (end of May) as a family of 12, travelling with grandparents and three children, including a toddler — and we could not have asked for a better experience. The resort caters beautifully to families. The kids absolutely loved the pirate pool, and we were grateful that it and the family pool area were heated, which made all the difference. There's a fantastic variety of pools and restaurants to enjoy, and the rooms were all a good size, beautifully situated overlooking the pools and the sea. The dining was a real highlight. The Asian and Italian restaurants and the buffet were all excellent, and as a large group we were accommodated wonderfully even during busy periods. A special mention must go to the team who helped us celebrate one of the grandparents turning 70 — the hotel arranged a lovely area in the Italian restaurant and organised a birthday cake with decorations, which made the occasion truly memorable. Above all, it was the staff who made our stay so special. Every single team member went above and beyond at every moment. We'd particularly like to thank Amin and Antonio at Concierge; Kevin, Boris and Bela at Reception; managers Marta and Drish; buffet chef Ramesh; and restaurant staff Beatriz G and Yamina.
