“Unser Aufenthalt im Sol Katmandu war insgesamt positiv, allerdings mit einigen deutlichen Kritikpunkten. Der Check-in verlief absolut problemlos und sehr speditiv. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Umgang mit unserer Situation: Unser Kind ist glutenintolerant, und das Hotel hat bereits im Vorfeld auf unsere Anfrage per E-Mail sehr professionell reagiert. Wir erhielten eine ausführliche Übersicht zu Allergenen und Speisen sowie die Zusicherung, dass bei der Zimmerreinigung besonders sorgfältig vorgegangen wird. Vor Ort gab es zudem eine gute Auswahl an glutenfreien Produkten – das war wirklich vorbildlich und ein großer Pluspunkt. Das Personal im gesamten Hotel, insbesondere die Hotelmanagerin und die Mitarbeitenden in den Restaurants, war herausragend. Sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und besonders aufmerksam gegenüber Kindern. Hier ein großes Kompliment – man fühlt sich als Familie wirklich willkommen. Auch bei Problemen im Zimmer wurde sofort reagiert, und es wurde umgehend ein Techniker organisiert. Der Service war in diesem Punkt wirklich top. Auch die Lage des Hotels sowie der integrierte Katmandu Park sind für Familien ideal und bieten einen echten Mehrwert für den Aufenthalt. Leider gibt es auch negative Aspekte, die den Gesamteindruck trüben. Ein Teil der Gäste fällt durch sehr unangemessenes Verhalten auf – fehlende Manieren, rücksichtsloses Verhalten im Poolbereich und im Restaurant. Zwar kann das Hotel nicht direkt für das Verhalten der Gäste verantwortlich gemacht werden, jedoch wäre ein konsequenteres Eingreifen wünschenswert. Besonders im Restaurantbereich war das Verhalten einiger Gäste teilweise sehr unangenehm. Am Buffet wurden große Mengen an Essen auf die Teller geladen und anschließend größtenteils stehen gelassen, was zu erheblicher Lebensmittelverschwendung führte. Zudem hinterließen viele Gäste am Buffet eine deutliche Unordnung. Besonders kritisch ist die Rolle der Security. Diese wirkt leider eher wie reine Präsenz ohne tatsächliche Durchsetzung von Regeln. Es gibt klare Hotelregeln, jedoch werden diese kaum kontrolliert oder umgesetzt. Beispielsweise ist Essen im Poolbereich verboten – dennoch halten sich viele Gäste nicht daran, ohne dass das Personal eingreift. Auch die bestehende Kleiderordnung in den Restaurants wird praktisch nicht durchgesetzt. Trotz klarer Vorgaben erscheinen Gäste in Badehosen oder sehr freizügiger Kleidung im Speisesaal, was für ein Familienhotel unangemessen ist. Ein weiterer, aus unserer Sicht absolut unverständlicher Punkt ist der Umgang mit Laserpointern. Diese sind im Hotel ausdrücklich verboten und es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass sie eingezogen werden können. Dennoch haben Kinder wiederholt mit Lasern auf Balkone, andere Gäste und sogar in Augen geleuchtet. Trotz mehrfacher Meldung an die Rezeption und klarer Identifikation der Verursacher wurde nichts unternommen. Selbst nachdem die Security eingegriffen hatte, wurden die Geräte nicht konfisziert und das Verhalten setzte sich fort – sogar im Speisesaal. Das ist nicht nur störend, sondern potenziell gefährlich. Trotz dieser Punkte überwiegen für uns die positiven Aspekte – insbesondere das außergewöhnlich engagierte Personal, die familienfreundliche Ausrichtung sowie die Lage und das Freizeitangebot mit dem Katmandu Park. Mit einer konsequenteren Umsetzung der bestehenden Regeln könnte das Hotel das Gesamterlebnis deutlich verbessern.”See more reviews

“Cannot say one negative thing about this hotel. Staff, food, entertainment, facilities were absolutely fantastic. The location is brilliant. Aldi 5mins away, great bars and restaurants on the doorstep and beach 5min walk. Will definitely be back here and highly recommend. Also very child friendly. “Estuvimos 6 días y la pasamos genial, quiero resaltar la labor de todos los empleados a Maia en la zona de comedor, en el parque a Mailen en animación a Diego son los chicos que más estuve en contacto pero en general a todos los que forman parte de éste equipo de empleados maravillosos ,gracias a ellos hicieron nuestras vacaciones mágicas y mi hijo Santino la paso genial y quiere repetir jajaja, esperemos que podamos vernos nuevamente para disfrutar unos días de este hotel maravilloso y recomendable 1000 x 1000.
