“I spent 5 days at the resort and did not want to leave, from arrival the service and hospitality offered by Valentina, Mario and Veronica were top notch. From facilitating any reservations for dinner or excursions to sending extra things to my room to everyone on staff being polite and helpful in a genuine way. This really felt like a vacation for me and I’m someone who works a lot. Thanking the staff for helping me and my girlfriend feel completely relaxed”

“The first time I came to this resort was 12 years ago, and I stayed in Reserve. The experience was spectacular. Before returning, I read many reviews saying that there was a huge difference between Reserve and the regular Adults Only section. I was very close to paying an extra $800 USD for the upgrade, but now I can honestly say that I am very happy I didn’t. We stayed in Adults Only La Perla without Reserve, and honestly, it was not necessary. The service was spectacular, and at no point did we feel that we were receiving a lower level of service because we were not staying in Reserve. The attention to detail was incredible everywhere we went. In the restaurants, buffets, pools, and throughout the resort, the service was consistently excellent. Our room was always spotless, and housekeeping came both in the morning and in the evening to make sure everything was perfect. The pool servers were extremely attentive, and the Guest Services team was always available, constantly checking in and maintaining communication to ensure we had everything we needed. I have stayed at many resorts, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best levels of service I have experienced in Playa del Carmen and Cancun. The Beach: Unfortunately, this was the worst part of our experience. The smell from the sargassum was very strong and unpleasant. However, I understand that this is something beyond the resort’s control. Food: The buffet is extremely small and offers limited variety. The selection remains mostly the same every day. Higher-quality cuts of meat are only available at an additional cost, both at the buffet and in some of the à la carte restaurants. Daytime Entertainment: Very limited. The main adults-only pool only has music during the one-hour Zumba session, which is essentially the only organized activity offered throughout the day. Unlike many other resorts that provide multiple activities and entertainment options, this resort has a very quiet atmosphere. In my opinion, this is an area that could be improved significantly. Nighttime Entertainment: Also disappointing. The shows run from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM and usually consist of small live bands performing music. We did not find the entertainment particularly exciting or memorable. By 10:30 PM, most guests return to their rooms because there is simply nothing else to do. The only night we truly enjoyed was Casino Night, although it also ended at 10:30 PM. One thing I absolutely loved was the care and respect shown toward the animals on the property. Seeing the staff take care of the cats, raccoons, and coatis with kindness and respect was very special to me. I love animals, and this was one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, our experience was wonderful thanks to the outstanding service. If you are looking for relaxation, peace and quiet, exceptional hospitality, and a week of being truly taken care of, this resort is perfect for you. However, if you are traveling alone or as a couple and are looking for a more lively atmosphere, with plenty of activities and vibrant nightlife, this may not be the ideal resort for you.”

“Just returned from a 5 day trip to Paradisus La Perla to celebrate my birthday with 10 friends. I wish we were still there! The resort exceeded all of my expectations and really went out of their way to make this trip special for me and my group. From champagne at check-in to special birthday drinks to leaving cake and wine in my room to celebrate, I felt truly treated and special. I tend to be a bit snobby when it comes to food and I can say the food options at this resort were amazing. We especially loved Lemon Fish and the Hibachi restaurant on the adults side, and the chia seed pudding and green juice at the Hadar buffet. The sargassum situation at the beach wasn't great but I'm more of a pool person anyway. The pool at La Perla was beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing on the day beds and taking the water dance class every day! Get the tuna tacos by the pool too. Big shoutout to Oscar at the pool for his amazing service every day. All in all, we had an amazing stay and I can't wait to book my next trip.”
