“Foi a pior experiência que tive na vossa cadeia de hóteis. Sei que tiveram um problema eléctrico, mas tal evento não deveria impactar a qualidade da comida. Para além da pouco oferta, ou quase inexistente para vegetarianos, a qualidade e frescura dos alimentos deixou muito a desejar. Sintimo-nos completamente defraudados face ao que pagamos pela meia pensão vs a qualidade da comida. “This was our fifth stay at this wonderful hotel. Everything is excellent: the hotel, the location, the staff, the food, and the rooms. The rooms are so clean, comfortable and spacious. The last three times we have booked The Level and it is definitely worth it.There was an electrical problem during our last stay, and the restaurants and bar were closed. As a result food and drinks were served in a beautiful church, which is also a wedding venue. This church is literally next to the hotel. Staff were working so hard to provide a good service under these difficult circumstances and not only they did a great job but we got to see this beautiful venue. Breakfast was very good, specially under the circumstances, and we were even given boxes/cutlery to take food away to enjoy later! The same was arranged for The Level tapas time. They had a supposed electrical problem, which led them to send us to have breakfast at a church on the second day. On the first day, we were seated in the back of the building, feeling like beggars. Then, for dinner, they sent us to a restaurant across the street and told us to pay for it ourselves. Now they say the agency will reimburse us. I think they've had a major problem. Meliá White House is a star-studded building. Despite the constant bombings, The White House remained undamaged during the Blitz. Documents found after the Allied victory revealed that the building's unique star shape served as a landmark for Luftwaffe pilots, and therefore, it was deemed too valuable to destroy.
