ME Malaga

A estadia no ME Málaga foi simplesmente memorável. O quarto era excelente, destacando-se não só pelo conforto e design, mas sobretudo pelas vistas absolutamente deslumbrantes sobre a cidade e a imponente Alcazaba de Málaga — um cenário que por si só já justifica a experiência. O rooftop é, sem dúvida, imperdível. Com um ambiente sofisticado, um serviço irrepreensível — sempre profissional e atencioso — e uma vista panorâmica que proporciona um pôr do sol fabuloso. A localização do hotel é outro ponto forte: central, prática e ideal para explorar a cidade, mantendo sempre uma atmosfera elegante e muito agradável. Por fim uma palavra de destaque para a Lucía Delia Especht Campos. O seu apoio foi absolutamente exemplar. Extremamente proativa, atenta e dedicada, fez toda a diferença na nossa experiência. Desde recomendações e reservas em restaurantes de excelência, à organização do aluguer de carro para visitarmos o Caminito del Rey e Ronda, passando por sugestões culturais como museus — a Lucía foi verdadeiramente inexcedível e fez-nos sentir em casa. O hotel é, sem dúvida, excelente, mas foi a Lucía quem elevou a nossa experiência a um nível extraordinário, tornando esta estadia em Málaga absolutamente inesquecível.

Estuvimos toda la Semana Santa (12 noches) en el Hotel, y quedamos encantados, un trato exquisito capitaneado por José de la Torre. Habitaciones modernas, todo impecable, vistas magníficas en una ubicación inmejorable, el restaurante maravilloso con una oferta gastronómica de estrella Michelín, y un equipo de salud y bienestar (Tacha) fantástico. Enhorabuena a todo el equipo que nos trató, desde la recepción, servicio de habitaciones, equipo de seguridad.... maravilloso. (Translated by Google) We stayed at the hotel for the entire Easter week (12 nights) and were delighted. The service was exquisite, led by José de la Torre. The rooms were modern, everything was spotless, the views were magnificent in an unbeatable location, the restaurant was wonderful with Michelin-starred cuisine, and the health and wellness team (Tacha) was fantastic. Congratulations to the entire team who served us, from reception and room service to security... simply wonderful.

Esperienza strepitosa. Inaugurato da pochi mesi, felicemente posizionato ai piedi dell’Alcazaba, in pieno centro anche se in un punto particolarmente tranquillo. Il design è espressione dello stato dell’arte attuale dell’accoglienza di alto livello: colori e architettura moderni e inclusivi che richiamano Malaga e Picasso. Le camere sono stupende. La palestra è piccola ma fornita di attrezzatura di alto livello. La colazione è strepitosa, un buffet internazionale anche se con molti richiami alla gastronomia spagnola. C’è anche una carta con alcune preparazioni a base di uova incluse e gratuite, altre a pagamento. Cheesecake da applausi. La colazione è servita nello stesso locale che a pranzo e cena accoglie un ristorante di alto livello, che abbiamo testato la prima sera. Il rooftop con piscina è stupendo. Menzione speciale per tutto lo staff: giovane, dinamico, capace di far sentire l’ospite coccolato in maniera Smart, senza cliché, molto alla mano. Complimenti.

I didn’t stay the night here, but I did visit the roof terrace twice during my stay in Málaga. Friendly service, a wide selection and a fantastic view!

My partner and I stayed at the ME Malaga in early March. Being a fan of high end hotels, I was excited to see this new opening, and while the property is visually spectacular and pristine, there are a few "new hotel" growing pains to be aware of. The Room & Design: We stayed in a suite on a high floor overlooking the Alcazaba. The design is beautiful, featuring curated art and a very open-plan layout. The Good: The soundproofing is elite—it blocks out about 95% of street noise, making the room ultra-quiet. The windows are glazed so you have total privacy from the outside. The bed is extremely spacious, and the room includes high-end touches like Marshall speakers and a spacious area for luggage storage. The bathroom is open-plan with a lovely bathtub right in the room. The Details: We were well looked after with a bottle of cava and daily water. There is an "expanded" mini-bar, but be careful: there was no price list provided, so it’s best to check costs with staff first to avoid surprises. Facilities & Location: You couldn't ask for a better location; it’s incredibly central and within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. Rooftop & Gym: The rooftop is spacious and beautiful, though it does get quite busy during the day. The gym is small but excellent—it was virtually empty every time we visited. Service: The staff are exceptionally welcoming and took the time to show us every detail of our room upon arrival. However, you can tell the team is quite new; while they are very attentive, there is a general sense of inexperience typical of a fresh opening. Points for Improvement: Meliá Members: Note that the ME brand doesn't offer the separate priority check-in that Meliá Gold members might be used to at other properties. Breakfast: The breakfast bar looks amazing and they do eggs to order, but the vegetarian range is very poor. It really needs more cooked vegetarian/dairy-free options. Room Choice: I would strongly recommend avoiding the courtyard view rooms, as they seem to lack natural light and have no view. Value: It is definitely on the pricey side. While it’s one of the best city hotels I’ve stayed in, the price point felt high even for the shoulder season in March. Final Verdict: A fantastic, brand-new hotel for a luxury weekend break if you want to be in the heart of the city. However, if the beach is your primary goal, you might find properties directly on the coast more suitable. It was a great stay in a beautiful room, though at this price point, I’m not 100% sure if I would return.
