“Estamos recién llegados del hotel Sol Tenerife, solo tenemos cosas buenas que decir de él, la gente súper amable la comida muy variada el personal de limpieza estupendo, a pie de playa en fin estupendo. No se adjudicaron una habitación que no nos gusta mucho e inmediatamente nos la cambiaron por otra los mejores vistas, recomendable total. Solo pondría un pequeño pero necesitaría una reforma pero vamos que yo he estado en él ahora y no está reformado y se puede estar perfectamente. Saludos para todos.”

“Wir haben Ende Juli 9 Nächte mit unseren zwei Kindern im Hotel Las Aguilas in Puerto de la Cruz verbracht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Es war ein wunderschöner Familienurlaub und wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Natürlich ist das Hotel nicht mehr ganz neu, aber das hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört, da alles ordentlich und gut instand gehalten wird. Lediglich die Silikonfugen in den Badezimmern könnten an einigen Stellen mal erneuert werden – das ist aber wirklich nur eine Kleinigkeit und hat unseren Aufenthalt nicht beeinträchtigt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Essen. Die Auswahl war gut, die Qualität hat uns überzeugt und vor allem die Salate waren jeden Tag richtig lecker und frisch. Auch die Getränke haben uns positiv überrascht: eine gute Auswahl, geschmacklich super und preislich absolut fair. Das gesamte Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis im Hotel empfanden wir als sehr angenehm. Für Familien ist das Hotel sehr gut geeignet. Ein Mietwagen ist unserer Meinung nach allerdings empfehlenswert, da man damit die Umgebung von Puerto de la Cruz und die wunderschöne Insel Teneriffa viel besser erkunden kann. Die Lage bietet tolle Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt betrifft nicht das Hotel selbst, sondern teilweise das Verhalten einiger Gäste beim Essen. Leider kamen manche Gäste in unangemessener Kleidung (zum Beispiel Bademode) zum Abendessen oder haben sich beziehungsweise ihre Kinder nicht besonders rücksichtsvoll verhalten. Schade fanden wir, dass weder Eltern noch das Personal hier stärker eingegriffen haben, denn ein bisschen mehr Rücksicht würde die angenehme Atmosphäre beim Essen noch verbessern. Trotz dieses kleinen Punktes bleibt unser Fazit eindeutig: Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team für den schönen Aufenthalt! Von uns gibt es daher ganz klar 5 Sterne!”

“We recently stayed at this hotel 10 of us and had five rooms. Check-in was amazing. We were taken care of in a private area where all of us were sat down had some food some drinks and it was an excellent experience. Being Gold member’s we did not unfortunately receive any of the benefit’s. for example room upgrade early check-in or late checkout which was a disappointment as we had five rooms and 10 people on all inclusive basis. Services amazing all around we did not feel at one stage that we ignored or not attended to this goes for all of the bar staff in the restaurants the buffets the breakfast simply great service from all the people that work there. Grounds are amazing a great pool great activities definitely a five star spa which was great because we had eight massages between the 10 of us everybody absolutely enjoyed it and the treatment and a spa facilities would definitely grade a five star. Good variety of drinks but the cocktails were not made to high Standard just normal alcoholic choice and mixer - service was always great Good variety breakfast and it was a good options throughout. As others have mentioned getting a booking for al a carte restaurants was very difficult even though they were quite empty and even when we were finished- they were quite empty but apparently they were all booked up. We also emailed months in Advance to try and get the ones that we wanted we did, but it did take some speaking to the concierge team to make it happen. Pool facilities were very good and everybody enjoyed their pool time, especially when they were doing aerobics, paddle boarding and spin classes in the pool. It was very difficult to get a sunbed as all of them were taken. When we discussed this with the team they said that they didn’t realise how many people were going to be in the hotel but this excuse is no good. We got Beds in the end far in some area which had loads of flies and not a great place to be.. also the beds that we had did not have any padding where others did. People would just go there at 7 o’clock in the morning and get 5 to 6 Beds and not even use them all day -annoying that this is not controlled in some sort of way. The Mexican restaurant near the pool stood out with their great service and great food. We personally found all the other restaurant and buffet items very bland. example we dined at in the Asian restaurant but they had no chilies. The Thai green curry was very bland until we had to add some sort of Spice to it (Thai is supposed to be spicy) The Italian restaurant was good Pizza, but apart from that, we couldn’t taste anything else because there is a massive infestation of flies in the whole Property. The flies would be all over the food all out the tables and it was very unhygienic, especially as these flies would also bite unsure why but they did. In Italian restaurant, we tried to have for lunch as well the flies again everywhere and I actually feel that the hotel did not make enough effort to deter them or have more candles or fans or blue light to actually get rid of them and they were all over the Food and we just left in the end back to the Mexican. Rooms are very spacious we were not red level so I cannot comment on that as that’s an adult only and we had children. They are dated so they are not upgraded. They’re okay - nothing wow- they have the normal facilities in them but they’re very dated. For a small example, a five star would have soft closing seats but instead there was a dent in our toilet, marks on the wood throughout the room but they were fit for purpose and large. We had ground floor rooms and we could also hear everything from upstairs. Quite a noisy area in the nights. All in all we had a very good holiday, but we probably would not go back and stay- due to the fly issue which was a major concern throughout the five days we were there, secondly we were not benefited by our Gold membership with Meliá and third of all we found a Food bland overall with bookings hard to make. I would say that this is a very decent 4 star with amazing grounds.”

“Wij kwamen hier aan en hadden (dachten we) extra betaald zodat wij niet op de begane grond aan de boulevard. Helaas dus wel een kamer daar. Alleen heeft Bruno (receptie) ons fantastisch geholpen. Wij moesten nog een nachtje in die kamer en vervolgens konden wij ons in de ochtend melden bij de receptie. Hier heeft Oscar ons fantastisch geholpen naar een andere kamer aan de C zijde. Hier waren wij ontzettend tevreden over. Parkeren is moeizaam in de omgeving. Zwembad is prima, alleen te weinig parasols. Wij waren in een hoogseizoen(bouwvak Nederland) maar het is dan wel handdoekje leggen (gemiddeld vanaf 07:30). Dit was zeer frustrerend. Schoonmaak werd bij ons niet echt gedaan, elke dag wel frisse handdoeken. Maar over de 13 dagen dat we er waren is er 1 keer echt schoongemaakt. Airco kan je niet goed instellen, die gaat na 30 seconden blazen weer uit en dit is wel frustrerend als het in de kamer 24 graden is. Verder een ontzettend fijn verblijf hier gehad en wij willen Bruno en Oscar ontzettend bedanken voor hun hulp!”
