Hôtel Madrid Gran Vía 25 Affiliated by Meliá

I stayed here during a school trip in 2006 when it was called "Hotel Tryp Gran Via" - The building looks a lot nicer now. I remember their great breakfast. The sign kept us awake at night, glad to see that's not there anymore haha I would stay here again if/when I ever get to make it back to Spain/Madrid.

I stayed at Hotel Gran Via during a girls’ trip to Madrid with my friend, and the location truly could not be better. The hotel sits right on the bustling Gran Via street, which is one of the liveliest areas in the city. As soon as you step outside, there are countless restaurants, cafés, and shops all around you. It felt vibrant, energetic, and very safe to walk around even in the evenings. One of the highlights of the stay was definitely the breakfast buffet. I genuinely think it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. There was so much variety and everything felt fresh and well prepared, which made starting the day there really enjoyable. The location also makes it very easy to explore Madrid. Many historical sites are within walking distance, and the nearby flamenco venues really give you a sense of the Spanish culture and atmosphere. The only downside was that the room itself was quite small, and the elevator felt extremely old and tiny. It almost felt like it belonged in a building from a couple of centuries ago. Overall though, if you’re looking for a hotel in a prime location where you can walk everywhere and experience the energy of Madrid right outside your door, this is a great choice.

Lo mejor que tiene el hotel es la ubicación !! El personal de recepción son super amables y simpáticos … el desayuno es muy pobre … poca cosa y muy escaso creo que no me rece la pena cogerlo .. mi hijo pidió dos días huevos fritos para desayunar y no se lo quisieron haces así que lo pagamos y no desayuno esos días… había algo de bollería dulce , cafés y algún embutido comí pavo chorizo y salchichón …. Por lo demás bien aunque para ser Meliá un poco antiguo .. la ubicación es la mejor de Madrid cerca de todo. El metro al lado para moverte y los Uber funcionan muy bien recogiéndote al lado puerta .
