I stayed at this hotel during April 2026. Booked the room with skyline views and requested a high floor. Suffice to say I was not at all dissatisfied! The view from our room was fantastic, the noise level inside the room was good as you couldn’t hear much of other people staying in the hotel, the staff on reception were very helpful and polite, it felt safe sitting around the pool and the hotel is in a nice area.

Positives - Close to the strip but not on top of it - Lidl literally across the road - Great pool but freezing cold - Friendly staff - Hotel building itself is beautiful - Plenty of bars and restaurants around it if you didn’t want to go to the main strip - Breakfast ok, plenty too choose from - Reasonably priced drinks and food around at the pool - 15 minute walk to the beach Negatives - Our room was in some serious need of repair - Safe didn’t work - Balcony door didn’t lock - Air con didn’t work - reported and maintenance replaced the dial, it still didn’t work - Flush on toilet broken so had to keep pulling the lid off the cistern for it to fill up - reported and “fixed” lasted an hour and was broke again - TV lost signal that was sorted and stayed working for the rest of the duration - Housekeeping wasn’t great. Room wasn’t swept once over 4 nights and one day it was completely missed until we get a knock at 4pm asking if we wanted it doing. - Mini bar very expensive and completely not needed. Taking up valuable space in the fridge. - Little niggle but it’s a bug bear of mine: coffee cups are tiny (like drinking from a thimble) and the part you use to hold the cup is so small you can barely get a finger through it. Overall The Melia could be a stunning hotel but it is crying out for some desperate TLC in the rooms. Would we stay again? Possibly if we got a good deal but wouldn’t stay for longer than 3/4 nights and would only be because of how good the location is.

Queremos destacar especialmente a Cristina, Eva, José, Pablo, Jazmín, Nathalia y Marcos, quienes fueron encantadores en todo momento. Su cercanía, profesionalidad y alegría hicieron que cada día fuera aún más especial. También mencionar a los dos chicos del bar/restaurante, uno de Chile y otro de Nepal (¡ojalá recordáramos sus nombres!), que nos regalaron siempre una sonrisa, una energía preciosa y un trato súper cálido. La atención, el cuidado, la animación… todo fue de otro nivel. Se nota cuando un equipo trabaja con pasión, y ellos lograron transmitir una vibra y una alegría que hicieron nuestra estancia inolvidable. Viajamos con nuestra hija y verla disfrutar tanto de las actividades, sentirse cuidada y feliz, fue lo más importante para nosotros. Gracias por crear momentos tan bonitos.
