“Ho soggiornato al Meliá Fuerteventura con grandi aspettative, soprattutto per la tanto decantata ristrutturazione. Purtroppo, però, la realtà è diversa: più che una vera ristrutturazione si tratta di una semplice “rinfrescata”, realizzata in modo piuttosto approssimativo. A un primo sguardo l’hotel si presenta bene, ma basta soffermarsi un po’ per notare dettagli che lasciano perplessi: pavimenti in SPC (quindi plastica), corridoi poco curati e alcune parti comuni con muri scrostati. Nel complesso, l’impressione è quella di un intervento economico, lontano dagli standard che ci si aspetterebbe. Sul fronte ristorazione, invece, l’esperienza è generalmente positiva. Il buffet è buono e offre molta varietà, così come i ristoranti à la carte, che risultano piacevoli. Tuttavia, la qualità non sempre è costante e, alla fine, non si percepisce una grande differenza rispetto al buffet. Il servizio è uno dei punti più deboli della struttura: appare chiaramente sottodimensionato rispetto al numero di ospiti. Nei ristoranti si trovano spesso ragazzi volenterosi e molto gentili, ma poco preparati e non sempre attenti ai dettagli (ad esempio nel riassetto dei tavoli). La posizione è senza dubbio uno dei grandi punti di forza: siamo a pochi minuti da Playa de Sotavento, una delle spiagge più belle dell’isola. Tuttavia, come purtroppo accade in diverse zone di Fuerteventura, anche qui si percepisce un certo impatto urbanistico: grandi strutture in contesti naturali che forse sarebbe stato meglio preservare. Infine, molto bella la piscina, ampia e riscaldata. Peccato però per l’assenza di una spa, che in un hotel a cinque stelle ci si aspetterebbe di trovare. In sintesi: una struttura con grande potenziale e una posizione straordinaria, ma che lascia la sensazione di un’esperienza non pienamente all’altezza delle aspettative.”See more reviews

“We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, which does not reflect a 5-star standard at all. Upon arrival, we were first given a room that was clearly damp and smelled strongly of mold. We were then shown three additional rooms, two of which had the same issue and were simply not habitable. The entire process of finding an acceptable room took around one hour after our arrival, which was extremely frustrating. We eventually upgraded to “The Reserve.” We were offered activities such as a stargazing tour or windsurfing. We chose the hike, which was cancelled due to weather—understandable. However, the only alternatives offered were museum vouchers or a cheese tour, and only for the second-to-last day of our stay. No comparable or meaningful compensation (such as a complimentary massage) was предложed. Dining was consistently poor. At nearly every lunch and dinner, we experienced issues—waiting up to 45 minutes for food, receiving raw vegetables, or being served burnt dishes. While the staff were friendly, the level of service was far from what you would expect at a 5-star hotel. Housekeeping was also inconsistent: used glasses and dishes were not removed, and water was not refilled. When we asked for water, we were told it would cost €15 or that we could go to the bar. This really made us question whether we were staying in a 5-star hotel or closer to a 3-star property. We shared our feedback multiple times with reception staff, but never received any apology or attempt at resolution. We were also introduced to Meliá Circle, which we declined based on our experience. Overall, this was not an experience that would make us book with Meliá again. Based on our stay, the hotel should either lower its rating to 3–4 stars or significantly improve its standards”See more reviews
