“Myself and a friend stayed 4 nights in October. Our rate included breakfast. Hotel is popular with cyclists, golfers and convention centre attendees. Pros: -Clean premises. -Free WiFi. -Front Desk. Efficient check-in. Sara speaks excellent English and was particularly helpful. -Room 419 (Floor 4, top floor) - twin single beds (we asked at the Front Desk for blankets as cool at nighttime). Mirrored sliding doors cupboard with shelves and hanging space, free safe. Fixed table with chair, drawers, fridge (contents chargeable), tea & coffee making facilities. Lamp. Sharp TV (English language channels include BBC News, Sky News and CNN). Wall mirror. Two beds with bedside tables, lamps. Upholstered chair & round table. Air-con. En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, basin, toilet, bidet, hairdryer, lotions. Balcony with table & 2 chairs, ashtray, and views of surrounding apartment blocks and an Aldi supermarket, plus the Prades Mountains in the far distance. -Lobby Bar - open 10:30am-midnight - spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Food & drink available. Board games. 2 large TV screens. Live music some nights. -Vending machine. Hot drinks machine. -Fitness Center - aerobic and weights machines. Sauna. -Two outdoor swimming pools, sun loungers. Pool towels available at Front Desk. Table tennis table. -Two lifts to all floors. More buttons than there are floors, confusing! Press ‘-‘ then ‘1’ to go to -1 for Restaurant Tosca and Convention Centre. -Restaurant Tosca (Floor -1) - spacious breakfast area - open Monday-Friday 7-10am, weekends & Bank Holidays 7:30-10:30am. Wide range of hot/cold food and drink. 3 hot drinks machines. 2 toasters. Egg station. Large toilets shared with Conference Centre. -Conference Centre (Floor -1) - several rooms. -Underground car park and bicycle storage (Floor -2). -Checkout 11am. Cons: -Room - occasional traffic noise. -Room - no free bottled water! Water from room fridge costs €1.75. -Room - another upholstered chair would be useful. -Room - no USB ports for charging. -Room - lamp at bedside not working as plug broken. -Room - cups and glasses not replaced. -Breakfast - some items randomly spread such as milk opposite side of room to cereals and jams opposite side to toasters! -Breakfast - cereals all tasted past their sell-by date. Notes: -Airport taxi - Reus Airport to/from hotel - the 15 minute ‘Reus Taxi’ journey is €42 each way, a total rip-off! Try to get the much-cheaper public bus - on arrival go to bus stop as soon as possible as tied to flight times. -Hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Turn left out of main hotel entrance and follow the road. -We ate evening meals at Restaurante Pizza Cruixent (twice, highly recommended) and Restaurant Duomo - both restaurants are close to hotel, plus a McDonalds (beachfront, Av. de la Diputació). -We bought food & drink (including alcohol) from Supermercats Michelangelo supermarket (open every day 8:30-10pm, beachfront, Av. de la Diputació). Premises also includes a La Cantina cafe (sandwiches, bread, cakes, lager, wine) with outdoor parasol seating. Toilet. -There is also an Aldi supermarket a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Turn right out of the main hotel entrance and follow road to roundabout. -I was really impressed with Cambrils and really enjoyed my stay, visiting its beaches, harbour, the old town, parks, plus a catamaran boat trip.
