Can a literature festival change the way we look at a destination like Magaluf? The Festival de Literatura Expandida a Magaluf, better known as FLEM, has been proving for six editions that the answer can be yes. From 1 to 4 October 2026, FLEM returns to Mallorca with a new edition that will bring together writers, musicians, artists and the public around a programme that mixes literature, culture and entertainment.
This year, moreover, the festival debuts a new venue: INNSiDE Wave Calvià will be the meeting point for a large part of the activities. Among the names already on the bill are Anna Todd, Elísabet Benavent, Nerea Pérez de las Heras, Anna Hope, David Foenkinos, Gabriel Janer Manila, Carlos Bardem, Aina Fullana, Biel Mesquida and Aria Aber, among many others. Four days to read, listen, talk, discover and, above all, get closer to a different side of Magaluf.

The sixth edition of the Festival de Literatura Expandida a Magaluf arrives with prominent names from national and international literature, a new location and a programme that once again crosses the borders between literature, music and art.
From 1 to 4 October, INNSiDE Wave Calvià will be the stage for four days of cultural encounters and experiences. If you are preparing your autumn cultural agenda in Mallorca, remember this date.
All information can be found on the official FLEM website and on its social media.

The Festival de Literatura Expandida a Magaluf (FLEM) is a cultural event that uses literature to explore its connection with other artistic disciplines.
The proposal goes beyond traditional book presentations. FLEM features conversations with authors, music, art, live podcasts and cultural routes, creating a programme designed for regular readers as well as those simply curious about approaching culture from a different angle.
Organised by Rata Corner and INNSiDE by Meliá, the festival was born with a very specific idea: to turn Magaluf into a space for cultural encounters for a few days and to reclaim the creative possibilities of a tourist destination.
FLEM 2026 will be held from 1 to 4 October 2026.
The sixth edition will take place over four days in which literature will share the spotlight with music, art and other cultural proposals.
If you are looking for cultural events in Mallorca in October, FLEM thus joins the island's autumn cultural agenda with a proposal that is especially interesting for lovers of books and contemporary creation.

The 2026 edition debuts a new location. The festival will be held at INNSiDE Wave Calvià, in Magaluf.
During the four days of FLEM, the hotel will become a space dedicated to literary meetings and various cultural activities.
The change of location is also an opportunity to look at Magaluf from another perspective: that of a place capable of hosting conversations, artistic proposals and encounters around culture.
One of the great attractions of FLEM Mallorca 2026 will be, as every year, the presence of writers of different generations, styles and backgrounds.
Among the names announced for this edition are:
If anything differentiates the Expanded Literature Festival from a conventional book fair or literary gathering, it is precisely its multidisciplinary nature.
The FLEM 2026 programme includes:
Literary conversations
Meetings with writers will be one of the festival's cornerstones. An opportunity to learn about their works, ideas and creative processes up close.
Music and concerts
Music will also have its space within FLEM, expanding the festival experience beyond words.
Art and cultural experiences
The programme incorporates artistic proposals and experiences designed to explore other forms of expression and creation.
Live podcasts
The podcast format will also have a presence in this edition, with live recordings that will allow you to experience this format from a different perspective.
Cultural routes
FLEM also proposes leaving the usual spaces of literary festivals and discovering another side of Magaluf through different routes and cultural activities.

There is an idea that has run through FLEM since its first editions: culture can also serve to transform the way we look at a place.
For four days, Magaluf will make room for books, conversations and artistic proposals to become a meeting point for authors and the public.
And perhaps that is one of the main attractions of the festival. It is not just about attending a talk by a writer you admire or discovering a new author. It is also about touring a well-known destination from a different perspective.
For those who live in Mallorca and for those who visit the island during the autumn, FLEM offers a different way to approach Magaluf.
