Hotel Colon Gran Meliá

We recently stayed at the Gran Meliá Colón in Seville for our babymoon, and overall had a wonderful experience. Our stay got off to a rocky start, as we had to change rooms twice. However, what truly made the difference was the outstanding service that followed. Maria, the Guest Experience Manager, went above and beyond to turn things around. From that moment on, everything was handled with great care, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Maria and her team truly went the extra mile - and beyond - to ensure that our subsequent stay was absolutely flawless. We felt very well taken care of at all times, and nothing was ever missing. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were exceptional. The hotel itself is a beautiful city hotel in a fantastic location, and thanks to the incredible team, we felt completely comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay. A big thank you to Maria and the entire team for making our stay special. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely 5 star property, wow entrance and lobby area, super duper central location. Waking into the hotel you do feel historic glamour, like stepping into a high end interpretation of the past. Truly unique. Spa is small but has what you need. Lobby bar has charm and well crafted cocktails and wines on offer. Well dressed crowd. Kids welcome. Staff are all lovely, but very busy (it was Easter weekend), Got a little bad advice from concierge (said shopping was open, when it was not on Good Friday), communication with concierge to book things prior to visit was a little bumpy. Once we connected with them over what’s app, things went very smoothly. Recommend that over email. Management is present, and helpful. Foundin general the food offer between room service, the lobby restaurant and the hotel restaurant to be slightly lacking in diversity. There are some non fish eaters in my family, no chicken or other simple clean food on offer. If you cannot get a table at the restaurant, the options are a bit limited. Breakfast selections solid, hot breakfast is a +, coffee was ok, not a wow. Red level on par with a basic airport lounge, with better design. Even has elevator waiting room music - zero vibes. Do not see the value unless you neck a few drinks before going out to save maybe €20 per person. To the bunch of lads this makes sense for - y’all would never want to stay here. For classy folks, it’s preferable to have you drink in the main room, pay for it and enjoy the historic setting.

Nos cambiaron de habitación en tres ocasiones: primero por falta de agua, luego por la moqueta (soy alérgico) y, finalmente, sin previo aviso cuando regresamos después de las procesiones. Además, me perdieron un efecto personal que aún no ha aparecido. Por último, solicitamos un taxi a la estación de Santa Justa, cuyo coste habitual es de 10 €, pero el taxista intentó cobrarnos 30 €, alegando que era un servicio concertado con el hotel, a pesar de que en la puerta había una parada de taxis. An amazing hotel in the centre of Seville. Everything is a 15 minute walk. Staff at the hotel are outstanding. Amazing views of the City. It’s relaxed elegance.

Hotel was selected as part of a travel package deal. However, we could not have been happier! Very helpful staff, very friendly, easy check-in process. Rooms were excellent! We will definitely come again if we are ever in Seville!
