La Maquinista: an open-air shopping mall

Located in an old factory in the Sant Andreu district, La Maquinista is the largest open-air shopping center in Catalonia. Just over 20 minutes by metro from the city center and offering more than 200 stores selling fashion, accessories, technology, decoration, sports and personal care. Renovated in 2021, the dining areas have also been enhanced with a choice of restaurants and cafes that are also worth a visit. There are also supermarkets, cinema and games room.

Diagonal Mar: ideal for families

Located very near the beach and the Parc del Fòrum, Diagonal Mar is one of the most extensive shopping centers in Barcelona. A bright, open space with more than 180 stores selling fashion, food, sports, home, technology and beauty, among others. With a 450m2 playground and Mar de Jocs play area with interactive activities, it is an ideal place to visit with children. It also offers a wide range of outdoor restaurants and 11 cinemas. And if you stay at the Barcelona Condal Mar Affiliated by Meliá, it’s only a 10-minute walk away for a day of shopping.
