Meliá Vinpearl Hue

Great stay in the Meliá Hue. The staff were excellent, perfect location, lovely breakfast and rooftop bar. Highly recommended.

We had a room on the 21st floor which had an incredible view. The room itself was also exceptional, so spacious and light with full length windows across two sides of the room. The king size bed was massive and super comfy Bathroom was very nice, massive shower and separate bath tub. Plenty of toiletries provided for duration of our stay. The room also had a mini fridge and 2 complementary bottles of water were provided each day. lotel itself was very nice and luxurious throughout. The lobby was huge with lots of spaces to sit. There was also a Starbucks in the lobby which was pretty cool. As we've come to expect from travelling across Vietnam the staff are impeccable and go above and beyond to help you. Location was decent, about 10min walk to the main 'strip walking street), about 1 5 min walk to the river but also very easy to get a Grab/Taxi from and to the hotel Skybar is also quite cool, views from 33rd floor were prett impressive. The hotel is huge with 33 floors and a skybar above that. As a result we did often end up waiting quite a bit for a lift whenever leaving/returnina to the hotel. This is despite there being 4 or 5 lifts.

AC didn't work. The ceiling fan periodically makes a knocking sound causing us to wake up. (Room 2004) If we were staying more than 1 night, we would've changed rooms, but we were exhausted and just wanted to sleep. Not a great first impression for the hotel, but we let the front desk know when we checked out in the morning. Otherwise, staff is fantastic, location is great, and we would probably stay here again.
