2 INFORMATION AND CONSENT.

Reading this Privacy Policy, the User (professional) is informed about how MELIÁ PRO collects, treats and protects the personal data that is provided through any of the channels enabled for this purpose (in forward, the "enabled channels"), as well as those of your connection and navigation through the website www.meliapro.com, or any other data that may be provided to MELIÁ PRO in the future by any enabled means.

Users must read this Privacy Policy carefully. It has been written in a clear and simple style to make it easy to understand and allow users to freely and voluntarily decide if they wish to provide their personal data or that of third parties to MELIÁ PRO.

3 MANDATORY DATA.

The data requested through the different channels enabled by MELIÁ PRO are generally mandatories (unless, in the required field specified otherwise) to meet the stated purposes. Therefore, if they are not provided or are not provided correctly, they cannot be addressed.

4 WHY AND FOR HOW LONG DOES MELIÁ STORE USER DATA?

Depending on user requests, the personal data collected by MELIÁ PRO is processed for the following purposes:

  • Managing reservations, their payment (if applicable) and any associated requests.
  • Managing reservations for meeting rooms.
  • Managing professional relationships with travel agents and tour operators.
  • Managing contact requests to MELIÁ PRO through available contact channels.
  • Managing the delivery of professional marketing messages by the Meliá Group relating to products, services, rates and promotions through electronic and/or non-electronic channels for their commercialisation by professional users.
  • Managing registration in MeliáRewards and earning and redeeming points.
  • Managing the delivery of marketing messages from MeliáRewards through electronic and/or non-electronic channels based on an analysis of their personal profile as a programme member unless users indicate otherwise by checking the corresponding box.
  • Conducting surveys regarding the quality of services provided by MELIÁ PRO and/or the image of Meliá Hotels International S.A. as a company.

User data will be kept for as long as is necessary to fulfil objectives or until users request their elimination by MELIÁ PRO or withdraw their consent.

5 WHAT USER DATA DOES MELIÁ PRO PROCESS?

MELIÁ PRO may process the following types of data, depending on user requests:

  • Professional identification data
  • Professional contact details
  • Data from the MeliáRewards loyalty programme.
  • User identification codes or passwords.
  • Employment data

Users that provide third party data declare that they are authorized to do so and exempt MELIÁ PRO from any liability in this regard. MELIÁ PRO may nevertheless carry out any actions required to verify this authorisation and adopt due diligence measures according to data protection regulations.

6 WHY IS DATA PROCESSED?

Data processing is required for the following:

  • Managing reservations, their payment (if applicable) and any associated requests.
  • Managing reservations for meeting rooms.
  • Managing relationships with travel agents and tour operators.

The data has to be processed to allow the fulfilment of the contractual relationship between MELIÁ PRO and users.

With regard to:

  • Managing registration in MeliáRewards and earning and redeeming points.
  • Managing contact requests to MELIÁ PRO through available contact channels.

Data processing will only be carried out if users have given consent.

If users withdraw their consent to any type of data processing, this will have no impact on the legality of the processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

To withdraw consent users may contact MELIÁ PRO by letter to MELIÁ HOTELS INTERNATIONAL SA, C / Gremio Toneleros 24, 07009 Palma de Mallorca, Spain or by email to privacy@melia.com, in both cases indicating subject/reference "Data Protection - MELIÁ PRO".

The processing carried out for:

  • Surveys on the quality of services provided by MELIÁ PRO and/or the image of Meliá Hotels International as a company
  • Managing the delivery of professional marketing messages by the Meliá Group relating to products, services, rates and promotions through electronic and/or non-electronic channels for which users have given their express consent for their commercialisation by professional users.
  • Manage the delivery of commercial communications of the MeliáRewards program, by electronic and / or conventional means, unless the User indicates otherwise by checking the corresponding box or showing his opposition to said treatment.

It will be based on the legitimate interests of the team responsible for the survey.

If ever user data has to be processed to comply with legal obligations, this will be done based on this legitimating cause.

7 WHO RECEIVES USER DATA?

User data may be passed on to:

  • Wholly or partially-owned Meliá Group companies, only for internal administrative purposes and/or the purposes indicated above.
  • Suppliers of Meliá Hotels International or hotel operating companies required to fulfil legal obligations and/or the purposes indicated above.
  • Partner companies of the Meliá Group to fulfil the purposes indicated above and/or, if authorised, to allow the sending of marketing messages.
  • Public Administration if required by law.

The entities mentioned above may or may not be located in the European Economic Area. In the latter case, international data transfers are duly legitimized.

8 USER RESPONSIBILITIES.

Users:

  • Guarantee that the data provided to MELIÁ PRO is true, accurate and complete and will keep the information up to date if it changes.
  • Guarantee that they have informed any third parties whose data they provide of the content of this document and obtained their authorisation to provide their data to MELIÁ PRO for the purposes indicated.
  • Will be responsible for any false or inaccurate information provided through the website and for any direct or indirect damages caused to MELIÁ PRO or third parties.

9 MARKETING MESSAGES.

One of the purposes MELIÁ PRO may process user data is to send marketing messages (non- professional) through electronic or non-electronic channels with information on products, services, promotions, special offers, events or news relevant to users. These messages will only be sent to users who form part of the MeliáRewards programme and have not previously expressed their desire to not receive them.

To send the messages, MELIÁ PRO will analyse the data obtained based on user profiles as members of MeliáRewards that allow it to better define the products that may be of interest to users.

If users wish to stop receiving marketing messages from MELIÁ PRO, they may request this by sending an email to privacy@melia.com or use the unsubscribe link in any of the marketing messages received.

10 EXERCISE OF RIGHTS.

At any time and free of any charge, users may send a letter to MELIÁ HOTELS INTERNATIONAL SA, Calle Gremio Toneleros 24, 07009 Palma de Mallorca, Spain or an email to privacy@melia.com, in both cases with the subject/reference "Data Protection - MELIÁ PRO", attaching a photocopy of a valid ID document or passport, to:

  • Withdraw any consent given previously.
  • Obtain confirmation as to whether or not MELIÁ PRO is processing their personal data.
  • Access their personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request the deletion of data when, among other reasons, the data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • Limit data processing by MELIÁ PRO when any of the conditions in data protection regulations are met.
  • Request human intervention, express their point of view and challenge the automated decisions taken by MELIÁ PRO.
  • Request the portability of their data.

User are also informed that they may file a complaint regarding personal data protection at any time with the competent authorities.

11 SECURITY MEASURES.

At all times, MELIÁ PRO will process user data in the most confidential way and ensure the mandatory confidentiality of that data in line with applicable regulations, adopting all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure data security and prevent its alteration, loss or unauthorized access or processing, always bearing in mind the state of current technology, the nature of the data stored and the risks to which they are exposed.
