“★★★★★ – Lovely relaxing stay at Melia Jardines Del Teide We had a really pleasant stay at Melia Jardines Del Teide and would happily return, which says a lot as we don’t usually go back to the same place twice because we like exploring new destinations. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — very large, modern and beautifully designed with a relaxed Scandi-style aesthetic throughout. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and well looked after. The food was very good, especially in the evenings with different themed nights and a good variety of options. Breakfast stayed largely the same each day, but there was still plenty of choice. My only tiny personal preference would be a few more ice cream flavours! The pool area was lovely and we never struggled to get a sunbed, which was a huge bonus. One small suggestion would be arranging some of the loungers slightly differently, particularly around the main pool, as many face directly towards each other which can feel a little awkward when sunbathing. Some minor pool maintenance may also be needed in places where the paint has worn away, as parts of the bottom felt slightly slippery/slimy underfoot. The location was great. It’s around a 15-minute drive from the airport and the hotel staff made organising taxis very easy. The journey cost us around €35 each way. Playa Del Duque beach is about a 15-minute downhill walk and is absolutely beautiful, with lots of lovely restaurants and independent shops nearby. Perfect for an evening stroll or sunset walk. One thing to note is that because the hotel is built across different levels, if your room is higher up there can be quite a bit of walking down towards the main pool area. However, if you stay in a “Level” room, the exclusive pool area is much closer. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable and generally finished around 10:30–11pm, which kept the atmosphere lively without being disruptive. Unfortunately the weather was unusually cloudy for the first few days of our trip, though obviously that’s no fault of the hotel. Even so, there was still plenty to do indoors. We joined the candle making class led by Kevin from the entertainment team, with Karla teaching the session — it was really informative and we ended up making beautiful candles to take home. Having a 24hr gym was also a massive bonus — it had lots of Technogym equipment however one treadmill was out of use which I assume will maintained soon. It also had a lovely calm studio attached to the back of it which had matts, yoga balls and yoga blocks. Overall, this was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and an excellent option for a shorter 5–6 night getaway in Tenerife.”

“Absolutely lovely hotel however when you pay extra for the Level then the premium drinks should be from 13:00 till 19:00. Enjoyed breakfast from the buffet restaurant as the level breakfast that you order from the menu in my opinion wasn’t the best. Other than that fabulous stay.”

“Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Amazing pool and perfect spot to nearby beach. Good food and drink selection. Friendly staff, especially Julian and Leo who always went above and beyond to help me with my nut allergy in the cafeteria. Live music in the evenings was my favourite part with good cocktails at the bar. Javier at the front desk was very helpful and friendly with enabling us to extend our stay to wait for transport.”
