- Kruger National Park
Part of the Kruger-Canyons Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO) with more than 2 million hectares for wildlife. It is the largest protected area in southern Africa and home to lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, leopards, hornbills, kori bustards, vultures, owls and saddle-bill storks.
The Maputo Handicrafts, Flowers and Gastronomy fair is a genuine traditional open-air market selling decorative objects, jewellery, capulanas (typical garments worn by Mozambican women) and accessories, among other things.
- Inhaca Islands
Just over 2 hours from Maputo Bay, the islands are home to 150 species of coral, more than 300 bird species and 4 different types of turtle. Diving is recommended off the islands due to the rich biodiversity.
- Portuguese Island
From Inhaca Island you can take a boat trip to Portuguese Island, Maputo's local nature reserve, with stunning white-sand beaches and lagoons.
