POLICIES AND STANDARDS

Check-in and check-out
Check-in time at the Meliá Ibirapuera hotel is from 2pm onwards. Check-out must be made before 12 midday.
Early check-ins are only available if the guest books the room for the previous night at an additional charge. The hotel also offers late check-out until 6pm at an additional charge of 50% of the daily rate. After this time, a full night will be charged.
Payment methods
Meliá hotels accept cash or credit cards (Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Diners). We do not accept cheques. At check-in guests must provide a pre-authorisation on their credit card for the purpose of guaranteeing eventual accommodation costs.
Cancellation and no-shows
Late cancellations or no-show on the arrival date will be subject to a one-night charge. To avoid the charge, bookings must be cancelled at least 24 hours before check-in. For promotional rates cancellation policies may vary.
Booking guarantee
A credit-card pre-authorisation will be required when booking to guarantee against no-shows.
Extra bed
Extra beds are subject to an additional charge for children aged 7 and older and adults.
Children
Children aged 6 and younger stay free as long as they sleep in the same bed as their parents.
NOTE: Pursuant to Article 82 of the Child and Adolescent Law, the accommodation of a child or adolescent in a hotel, motel, boarding house, or similar establishment is prohibited unless authorised by or accompanied by a parent or guardian. If the child is accompanied by a parent or guardian, a document must be presented to prove this relationship at check in. If you are an unrelated person or family member of any other degree (such as uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc.), you will need to present a notarised authorisation from the parents of the child at check-in.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the hotel with the exception of guide dogs and on presentation of the appropriate documentation.
