The successive natural disasters that have ravaged many regions of the world in the past few years have sometimes directly effected Sol Meliá employees.
This led the company Community Involvement Department to create a Support Fund for Employees affected by natural disasters in 2005. The main aim of the fund is to provide direct and rapid aid to employees that have been affected by natural disasters, with the funds managed directly by an executive committee created for that purpose in the affected area.
The funds are raised thanks to initiatives which involve both guests and employees, making Sol Meliá a platform for integration and participation in favour of its employees.
