Gran Meliá Colón is an open window on the city of Seville. Most of the rooms are outward facing and offer beautiful views of the city centre: Calle Canalejas, Magdalena church and Cruz del Calvario.
The innovative design of the hotel pays homage to the cultural heritage of this historical city. The doors of each of its rooms make this boutique hotel a unique work of art, as they display beautiful reproductions of major artworks by the Spanish masters of the Golden Age, all of whose lives and careers were linked to the city.
Each floor is dedicated to a famous artist: Zurbarán, Murillo, Velázquez, El Greco… Goya can be found on the seventh floor and one of his most well known paintings, the “Dressed Maja”, leads to the Penthouse Master Suite.
The delicate lighting of the corridors recreates the atmosphere of an exclusive art gallery. Brief notes accompany each painting, providing a simple explanation of the city’s culture for guests to read on the way to their rooms.
The refined taste and soft contours combine perfectly with luxury and technology. An elegant interior design creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The natural light and the spotless white illuminate the superior quality, noble furniture.
The black marble contrasts with the lily print in the bathroom, the delicate touches of gold leaf in the luxurious headboard and the rich textiles of the bed linen make a stay at the Gran Meliá Colón a moment of unique luxury.
The lighting, soundproofing and the individual temperature control allow our guests to create the perfect environment to their liking.
By respecting the original structure of this emblematic building and part of the city’s heritage, each of the 189 rooms is different and unique.
