Welcome to Madrid!!
Madrid is famous for its tapas bars with there mixture of flavours, traditions and unique cultures from Spain and the rest of the world. Our aim is to offer you information so you can enjoy some of the best tapas in Madrid.
We suggest starting in the district of La Latina, in particular the streets Cava baja and Cava alta, where the majority of tapas bars can be found. Here we recommend the Bar Orixe (a Galician restaurant/bar with traditional Galician pinchos) and Casa Lucas and Casa de los Sobrinos de Lucio serving the most traditional of all Spanish dishes (los huevos rotos- or the broken eggs!).
Well known for its great night life. We recommend La Ardosa. A tavern where you can try one of its famous tortillas. At the Bar Orio take a trip to Basque cuisine and culture with its pinchos bar. Another suggestion is Casa Julio or El Rincón.
Plaza Santa Ana is a very emblematic area of Madrid where you can try some good wine and great tapas. We suggest the Vinoteca Berbechera.
We also recommend visiting the local markets: such as the San Miguel market and the San Antón market in the district of Chueca.
