Welcome to Madrid!
My name if Antonio Arnedo and I am one of the tourism experts at the TRYP Madrid Atocha. This tour is one of my favourites to visit and enjoy Madrid with the family.
Because when you come to Madrid with the family it is difficult to know where to go to get the best out of the city, so I recommend a few great places:
The Zoo Aquarium is located in the Casa de Campo. It is easily reached by metro, taking the Line 5 (the green line) to Casa de Campo. Once there, just go down the sandy trail to the left, and when you reach the end, on the left you will see the Zoo. There you can enjoy the bull shark, the great dolphin show or the last living lions of atlas. The fauna of five continents in Madrid.
The average price for a ticket is 20 euros for adults and 17 for children (for children under 3 years, admission is free).Opening times vary depending on the season, but generally it is from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
From the cable car you can see Madrid from the air. You can get to the cable car by taking the metro to Casa de Campo or to Rosales (line 5). At the Casa de Campo station is the top of the Garabita hill where your children can have fun in a great play area.
Approximate prices are 5euros per person, except for children under 3 years who enter free. Opening times are usually from 12 noon to 6pm.
Also located in the Casa de campo, reach it by taking the metro to Batan (line 10), 50 meters from the park where you will find attractions for all ages, including infants.
Approximate prices are 30 euros for adults and 23 euros for children (for children under the age of 3 admission is free). Opening times vary depending on the season, but generally it is from 12 noon to 10pm.
It is a nature theme park similar to the Zoo, but here we can see several types of natural areas such as the jungle, the desert or the North Pole with their most characteristic animals. Located in the area of Valdebernardo and to get take the metro to Valdebernardo (Line 9).Admission costs approximately 25 euros for adults and 19 for children over 3 years. It is usually open from 10am to 9pm.
A kart track located in central Madrid. To get there, take the metro to Lucero(Line 6).Prices are approximately 19for adults and 17euros for children. Opening times vary from day to day, but usually it is open from 6pm to midnight.
It is a huge leisure centre containing both a shopping and dining options and the second largest ski slope in the world, to ski and snowboard. It is located in the suburbs, in the town of Arroyomolinos, but is easily accessible and you only have to take a bus from Principe Pio station, number 528 or 534.The price is about 20euros and it is open from 6pm to 8pm on weekdays and from 10am to midnight on the weekend.
The Warner amusement park is a theme park dedicated to Warner cartoons. It is located on the outskirts of Madrid, in San Martin de la Vega and you can reach by taking the local train to Pinto (Line C3) and the 413 bus direct to the park, or by car (motorway A4 exit 22 and follow signs, it is very easy).Prices are approximately 35 euros for adults and 30euros for children.
