BULLS HEADS
- The ME Lounge accessible from the ground floor at street level, has bull heads as part of its decor
- Customers at the ME Madrid can enjoy a cocktail or tapas in traditionally decorated surroundings which pay tribute to the rich history of the building, the former Gran Hotel Reina Victoria, whose past was closely linked to the world of bullfighting
DESIGN
- The well-known architect Keith Hobbs and his team at United Designers were brought in for the renovation and transformation of the historic Gran Hotel Reina Victoria into a new and luxurious urban hotel
- The aim of the hotel design was to conserve the splendid beauty of the building’s historic architecture and infuse it with the cutting edge spirit of ME by Meliá through its designer and exclusively produced furniture, its eclectic accessories and its innovative works of art
PHOTOGRAPHY
- The photographic pieces at the ME Madrid Reina Victoria aim to create a visual biography of the city, capturing its multiple elements by contrasting its energy, its elegant classic architecture, its sophisticated city atmosphere and its vibrant nightlife
MUSIC AS AN EXPERIENCE
- ME by Meliá, the essence of personalisation in the hotel industry, has launched a unique musical programme, allowing guests to enjoy both the public areas and the rooms
- To develop this programme ME joined forces with the UK company HedKandi and the New York company 4AM DJs, with the aim to strengthen our philosophy of offering new experiences which seduce guests’ intellect, emotions and desires
- 4AM DJs proposal allows guests to create personalized play-lists available in the room and on request, via the iPods that ME provides during their stay
