City-Tax from the 1st April 2012 in Bremen!
The Parliament of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen has passed a new law called City-Tax or Tourism Tax as a local tax expense (Journal of Laws of the 6th February 2012).
From the 1st of April 2012 the new City-Tax will be charged.
The amount of the City-Tax is € 3.21 including VAT (actual) per person (adults only) per night.
The City-Tax is an extra amount that has to be paid direct in the hotel. The hotel must hand on the amount to the State of Bremen!
