My Valencia with the family – TRYP Valencia Oceanic

My name is Yolanda and I am the family expert at the TRYP Valencia Oceanic and I recommend different activities and places to visit, so you can enjoy your stay in Valencia with your family.

OLD TURIA RIVERBED, THE BEST PARK IN VALENCIA

  • It is a green area crossing from the City of the Arts and the Sciences to the new Bioparc zoo where you can enjoy different activities with the family
  • Walking along the Turia riverbank you will find some interesting places such as the Royal Bridge, the Trinidad Bridge and the Serranos Bridge, with the Torres de Serranos, one of the 12 old gateways to Valencia when it was a walled city. They are used today in festive events, such as the "Cridá", the opening ceremony of las Fallas. Of the 12 gateways only this one and the Torres de Quart remain
  • El Río, the old riverbed, is the scene for sports and recreation for hundreds of people from Valencia as they walk, run, ride bikes (above all mountain bikes), play football, rugby, skate and exercise every day, congregating in this pleasant green area
  • My favourite part is the GULLIVER Park. It’s great for kids, full of slides. The kids will love it and it’s free. There is a perfect place for picnics on the grass near the park’s exit. It closes at eight in the evening in summer
  • Strolling along the river bank you will notice the flower bridge. "Valencia is the land of flowers"

WHERE TO EAT

  • El Temple de Ciscar Restaurant
  • C/ Ciscar, 24
  • Average price per person: 25 €. Gourmet Tasting Menu: 17.50 €. El Temple Tasting Menu: 19.50 €. Tel: 96 381 09 09
  • My favourite dish is the Carrillada, very tender and juicy

SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU GOING

  • La Pérgola Kiosk
  • Paseo de la Alameda, 1
  • Baguettes, tapas, skewers. Average price: 15 €
  • I recommend one of their bocadillos (baguettes) accompanied by patatas bravas (potatoes with a spicy sauce). In Valencia the traditional bocadillo is the black and white with baby broad beans
