The TRYP Oviedo offers a team of experts in the city of Oviedo who will advise you on everything you can do during your stay at the hotel. Gastronomy, leisure, culture, sport… the entire city within your reach.

THE LAKES OF COVADONGA

THE LAKES OF COVADONGA

  • The TRYP Oviedo recommends a visit to the lakes of Covadonga  (called the Llagos de Cuadonga or the Llagos d'Enol in Asturian)
  • Formed by two small lakes, Enol and Ercina, the lakes are located in the Asturian part of the Picos de Europa National Park, in the western massif of this rocky mountain chain
  • There is a third lake, Bricial, which only has water during the summer ice melt. In Asturias they are known simply as the Lakes
  • Located in the municipality of Cangas de Onís, they can be reached by a 14 km road that starts at the Real Sitio de Covadonga which reaches the lake of Enol first

LA SENDA DEL OSO (HIKING TRAIL)

LA SENDA DEL OSO (HIKING TRAIL)

  • La Senda del Oso is an ideal route for walkers and cyclists
  • Its great natural wealth and ethnography passes through tunnels and over bridges which give it a touch of adventure
  • The best way to get there is through the most popular green path in Asturias. The path takes its name from the mining past of the area. A railroad was built in the mid-nineteenth century to transport coal from Proaza and Teverga to Trubia. A century later and the track was abandoned. Today there is no rail and no trains, just the transportation of sport and nature
