Isla Canela is the last beach resort in Spain before reaching Portugal and is the perfect place for a holiday with your partner, friends or the family. The Isla Canela beach, with its distinctive Blue Flag, is a beautiful beach surrounded by unspoilt natural scenery. Come and discover its marshes and charming villages.
Isla Canela forms part of Ayamonte (Huelva) and is located on the border with Portugal, near the mouth of the River Carreras. Ayamonte is famous for its mild year-long temperatures, its landscapes and fine white sandy beaches.
Another of the area’s attractions is its well-known cuisine, in particular its shellfish, white prawns, fish, which is normally fried, baked, grilled or cooked in stews, and its sardines. Also famous is its cuttlefish with broad beans and tuna roe and mountain products such as Jabugo ham. The province of Huelva is also well known for the quality of its soft fruits such as strawberries and raspberries.
