TOUR OF JEREZ IN THREE HOURS  (WINE AND CULTURE)

A DAY AT THE BODEGA AND MUSEUM

If you don’t have much time and would like to visit something typical, you must check out a bodega. And if you also like a bit of culture, we have the perfect visit.

You can walk to the bodega in less than 10 minutes. Go to Porvera Street at the back of the hotel. At the end of the street, heading north is La Victoria Church. On the left looking for Muro Street and a small square called La Plaza Cordobeses, home to BODEGA TRADICION dating back to the eighteenth century.

BODEGA TRADICIÓN

This bodega, which is the only one with the Jerez Designation of Origin, is dedicated exclusively to the production of the older wines in categories covered by the Regulatory Council: VOS (Vinum optimum signatum - over 20 years old; and VORS - vinum optimum signatum rare - more than 30 years old). Its Gold and Platinum brandies are also unique in their complexity and aging.

Once you have tried the wines and brandies, you will also be surprised to find the permanent art collection of Joaquín Rivero in the same building..

The collection consists of over 300 paintings by Spanish masters such as Zurbarán, Velázquez, Camprobín, Pereda, Goya, Villamil and Jiménez Aranda. It is a unique opportunity to try the "pairing" of the oldest and finest wines of Jerez with a little Spanish art history.
