Gaudí route - TRYP Barcelona Condal Mar

Welcome to my Barcelona!

My name is Lucia and I am the Expert in Gaudi Art at the TRYP Condal Mar. If you like art and want to get to know the unique work by the Catalan architect Gaudí, which defined an epoch and created the unique style of the city, don’t miss the following route.

Sagrada Familia

The perfect start of the day is to visit this stunning cathedral which symbolizes the triumph of the church. Access to the inside is quicker and easier first thing in the morning. A general entrance ticket costs 12€.

Casa Batlló

Afterwards take the metro to the quarter of Graçia and there you can visit "Casa Batlló", another example of Gaudí’s brilliance. This modernist house was designed and built for an aristocrat. The entrance ticket costs around 18€ and is well worth it!

Casa Milá

Close to "Casa Batlló", in the heart of Passeig de Gracia, there is another impressive piece of architectural art, "La Pedrera", which can also be seen from the inside. From its roof terrace you can admire the views of the city and the quirky chimneys which Gaudí designed, inspired by the heads of warriors.

Parc Güell

To end your “Gaudi day” I recommend a trip to Parc Güell, the pinnacle of the architect’s work, where you will delighted by his creations and pure imagination. Enjoy some of the best views of the city from the park’s terraces.

WHERE TO EAT

If you like healthy Italian food, stop at Buenas Migas in Passeig de Gracia, where you can try some delicious homemade pizzas at a reasonable price.

SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU GOING

In any of the squares in the quarter of Gracia there are terraces where you can sit and enjoy a drink and something to eat, such as the la Plaza del Sol or the Plaza de John Lennon.

MY FAVOURITE SHOP

In Gracia there are loads of trendy clothes shops and places to buy bags, jewellery, belts…just wander the streets and you’ll come across second hand clothes chop and antique shops!
