Gastronomic route – TRYP Barcelona Condal Mar
Welcome to my Barcelona! My name is Javier and I am the Expert in Gastronomy of Barcelona at the TRYP Condal Mar. Without doubt the most interesting market and the one with the greatest diversity in national and international products is La Boquería, temple of Barcelona chefs where the freshness of its products will captivate you and incite you to stroll round the stalls and marvel at its contents without actually buying anything, if you can resist.
La Rambla This is the most famous street in Barcelona, and I suggest seeing it by walking down from Plaza Cataluña to the port. Along the way enjoy the street artists, living statues, the Mercat de la Boquería, the Liceu (the opera house), the Palau de la Virreina, the Santa Mónica Art Centre, the Plaça Reial, the Wax Museum (Passatge Banca 7) and the Colón monument.
The golondrinas (boats) Once you reach the port take a boat trip in one of the traditional golondrinas, which offer different routes along the coast and from which you can enjoy Barcelona from the sea.
WHERE TO EAT I recommend the Restaurante Attic located at 120 las Ramblas, which serves Mediterranean cuisine (average price 26 euros) and is open every day.
SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU GOING Pinotxo is a local institution located in the hustle and bustle of Mercado de la Boqueria, a bar with a dozen or so stools and where they cook with the freshest ingredients with spectacular results. Without doubt, the wait is worthwhile.
MY FAVOURITE SHOP Petres, one of the most interesting stalls in the Mercado de la Boqueria due to its incredible variety of wild mushrooms and truffles.
