The TRYP Tatuapé opened in March 2001 and is the first and only hotel in the neighbourhood of Tatuapé, considered one of the favourite areas to live in by the city’s inhabitants, according to the survey by APPM in 2010. Throughout the years, the hotel has constantly undertaken innovative renovations and refurbishments to meet changing guest demands and needs.
Its strategic location means it offers easy access to the city’s main avenues and roads such as Marginal do Rio Tietê, Avenida Radial Este, Avenida 23 de Maio, Avenida Salim Farah Maluf, Rodovia Airton Senna and Rodovia Presidente Dutra. In addition, the hotel is relatively close to the major exhibition halls in São Paulo, such as the Pavilhão de Exposições do Anhembi (20 minutes, 12 km) and the Expo Center Norte (15 minutes, 9 km). With regards to the local neighbourhood of Tatuapé, it is near shops, restaurants and bars and public transport, including a metro stop.
By bus: at the International Airport of Guarulhos, take the Airport Service bus, EMTU 257 any/or 299. This will take you to the Tatuapé metro stop (which is the closest metro to the hotel). From here, you only have to go up Ru Tuiuti and walk to Praça Silvio Romero, turn left into Rua Serra de Bragança and then take a right into Rua Serra de Juréa. Walk a block further and then you will find the hotel on your left. The walk takes about 15 minutes. The bus costs R$ 4.30. The Tatuapé metro stop is on the Red Line. It costs R$ 3.00 and covers different parts of São Paulo.
By taxi: from the International Airport of Guarulhos, a taxi ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around R$ 98.00. From Congonhas airport, the ride takes about 35 minutes and costs around R$ 55.00.
